I saw a programme about these a few years ago. They were using them in Japanese trains/subways. Problem was, they kept scaring the **** out of people when they thought they were falling/drowning/on fire.

Probably a bit disingenuous because the AI probably was trained on current data and methodology which wasn't available to the scientists, nevertheless still impressive.
