I'm just going to put this hear. How on earth did Glasgow waste that they were 27 - 7 up and ended the game 34 - 34 ?, Is the play well but not the right result from the Scotland team starting to take they're toll on Glasgow ?. Sorry Glasgow but you were dominating in the first how did you waste a big result.

Leinster started playing and Glasgow stopped. Each side were terrible in one half and good in the other, Glasgow did very well to salvage a draw.

I'd say Glasgow thought the game was over and Matawalu conjured up another piece of stupidity.

I would agree on the comments abut Matt O'Connor. Leinster look very disjointed and playing as individuals.

On a positive note Te'o looked good. Always looking for an offload and strong in the carry, was totally useless in the one ruck I saw him hit but for now thats ok. Personally I would love to see Mads at 10 with Te'o and Fitz in the centres but its too late for that change now and I doubt it was ever in MO'C's plans. Sideshow bob had his worst game for Leinster yet, slipping 3 memorable tackles 1 of which directly lead to a try. Failure to really get control of the breakdown was probably the biggest issue, when Irish teams play well/win it tends to come from a strong ground game with lots of players getting in over the ball, there was very little of that from the pack last night.

Don't be so disappointed. Not many teams can handle a fresh Isaac Boss off the bench.

Starting to really not like Matawalu, thank god he's going to bath.

Yes, he's a good player a really good one. But there is just moments off stupidity which throw's games away like this one and nearly made a big mistake which could have cost a Leinster win at home earlier on in the season.

Well Glasgow should

Denton also had his best game ever. The man needs credit.
Yeah..... but how does that relate to Leinster ? ;)

Ruddock won't play again this season. Needs an operation to reset the bone.

Bugger. Still, we can manage with Heaslip, Sob and Murphy in the back row.

Renewals (* denotes full international):

Isaac Boss*
Bryan Byrne
Ed Byrne
Jack Conan
Sean Cronin*
Tom Denton
Darragh Fanning
Luke Fitzgerald*
Rob Kearney*
Zane Kirchner*
Dan Leavy
Cathal Marsh
Fergus McFadden*
Luke McGrath
Mick McGrath
Kevin McLaughlin*
Martin Moore*
Jordi Murphy*
Colm O'Shea
Eoin Reddan*
Noel Reid*
Mike Ross*
Dominic Ryan*
Richardt Strauss*
Devin Toner*
James Tracy
Josh Van Der Flier

New Signings:

Royce Burke-Flynn
Ian Hirst
Mick Kearney
Jonathan Sexton*

So no big NIE signing, which may be a bit of a disappointment but getting Sexton is bigger than Piatau or Saili. I do hope we looked for a better option than Kirchner however. Good to see two props added with the RWC in mind. Mick Kearney should also be quite a useful signing.

Looks like Macken isn't returning anyway and Marshall, Dundon and SCM are gone. Word is that D'arcy hasn't decided yet and if he wants to stay he will be given a one year extension.

I thought ye would have went all out for a top 9. Surprised both Reddan and Boss got full years. Na wearily be added next and well in all fairness Leinster have a strong squad with talent. It's the game ye play will decide where ye go.

Players on Leinster's books this season who won't be next season (as things stand):
Tadhg Beirne (unknown), Jordan Coghlan (Munster), Sam Coughlan Murray (unknown), John Cooney (Connacht), Gordon D'arcy (unknown), Aaron Dundon (unknown), Jimmy Gopperth (Wasps), Jamie Hagan (loan return London Irish), Shane Jennings (retirement), Brendan Macken, (unknown), Ben Marshall (unknown), Sean McCarthy (unknown), Tyrone Moran (unknown), Quinn Roux (Connacht), Gavin Thornbury (unknown), Max Van Dyk (loan return Cheetahs).

Squad next season:
Loosehead Cian Healy, Jack McGrath, Michael Bent, Ed Byrne, Ian Hirst, Peter Dooley
Hooker Sean Cronin, Richardt Strauss, Bryan Byrne, James Tracy
Tighthead Mike Ross, Martin Moore, Tadhg Furlong, Royce Burke Flynn
Second Row Devin Toner, Kane Douglas, Mike McCarthy, Mick Kearney, Tom Denton, Ross Molony
Backrow Rhys Ruddock, Sean O'Brien, Jamie Heaslip, Jordi Murphy, Dominic Ryan, Jack Conan, Kevin McLaughlin, Josh Van Der Flier, Dan Leavy. Peadar Timmins
Scrumhalf Eoin Reddan, Isaac Boss, Luke McGrath, Nick McCarthy
Outhalf Jonathan Sexton, Cathal Marsh, Ross Byrne
Centre Ian Madigan, Ben Te'o, Noel Reid, Colm O'Shea, Steve Crosbie, Garry Ringrose, Tom Farrell, Tom Daly, Harrison Brewer, Rory O'Loughlin
Back Three Rob Kearney, Luke Fitzgerald, Fergus McFadden, Dave Kearney, Zane Kirchner, Darragh Fanning, Mick McGrath, Cian Kelleher, Adam Byrne, Billy Dardis, Ian Fitzpatrick

Of the new signings, Jonny Sexton will obviously be a huge improvement at 10 and hopefully bring some urgency and direction to the back line which has been sorely lacking. Mick Kearney will prove strong competition for the top 23. Ian Hirst comes from the AIL and although well stocked at loosehad, Leinster are probably right to bring him in for a look given his pedigree (AIL player of the year nomineee) at club level. Royce Burke Flynn is simply a cover option given the other three tightheads could be World Cup bound.

What stand out is the lack of depth at centre which may explain the re-signing of Collie O'Shea as one of only three senior contracted players during the World Cup period. Hopefully it provides opportunities for the likes of Garry Ringrose and Tom Farrell to get some game time.

Out of contention in the league with three games to go. Not good enough. There's a chance to reach for some positives out of it. Anyone who won't be with Leinster next season shouldn't play for the team again. Time to blood some players instead. There's no point in waiting until next season to see if players like Bryan Byrne, Ross Molony, Luke McGrath, Cathal Marsh, Garry Ringrose and Tom Farrell are good enough when you've an opportunity to do it now.

How long left on moc contract? Who are the contenders for the job assuming moc doesn't win a Heineken cup.

Also (this isn't trolling) is toner good enough to play for Leinster never mind Ireland. Joe has proved he knows best but I really honestly can't see want he brings. He doesn't seem to win loads of lineout ball, not a ball carrier, not a tackler, never wins any turn overs and just seems to flop into rucks. I honestly don't understand why he is there.

Not a Leinster fan but MOC job isn't dependant on winning HEC. He's probably achieved his goal of a semi final. The argument is probably more the way they got there.

Toner is certainly worthy of his spot and his workrate and stats certainly show he's deserving of his spot. And he won plenty of lineout ball for Ireland

Devin Toner
