The Sharks had the guts to make a few needed changes and this might just work for them:

JP Petersen back to wing where he should be
Louis Ludik to fullback, his best position
Paul Jordaan at 13, ex 7's Springbok with big potential
The Beast is back at prop and Kanko on the bench

Finally this is starting to look like balanced team again

Where will Riaan Viljoen Slot in then??

not in the match 22

The Sharks
15. Louis Ludik; 14. JP Pietersen; 13. Paul Jordaan; 12. Tim Whitehead; 11. Lwazi Mvovo; 10. Patrick Lambie; 9. Charl McLeod; 8. Keegan Daniel (C); 7. Marcell Coetzee; 6. Jacques Botes; 5. Anton Bresler; 4. Steven Sykes; 3. Jannie du Plessis / Wiehahn Herbst; 2. Bismarck du Plessis; 1. Tendai Mtawarira
Replacements: 16. Craig Burden; 17. Wiehahn Herbst / Jannie du Plessis; 18. Pieter-Steph du Toit; 19. Jean Deysel; 20. Ryan Kankowski; 21. Frederic Michalak; 22. Meyer Bosman

So glad he's giving Paul Jordaan a run, this kid has some serious potential.
In fact I have to agree with BadGena this team looks the best it has in some time.

Hell, it good to see Pietersen back on the wing where he belongs and Jordaan should give them some penetration even if he might be inexperienced in some technical aspects (which is the same with JPP at 13).

No one is quiet sure where Jordaan's future lies. I was hoping for more from JP at 13, but in all fairness, our backline was in such disarray throughout the season.
Riaan's form has dropped, and I think he needs a rest. I'd rather see him on the bench over Meyer Bosman.

highlanders

Forward: Jamie Mackintosh, Andrew Hore, Chris King, Josh Bekhuis, Jarrad Hoeata, Adam Thomson, Doug Tietjens, Nasi Manu.

Backs: Aaron Smith, Mike Delany, Hosea Gear, Shaun Treeby, Tamati Ellison, Siale Piutau, Ben Smith.

Reserves: Jason Rutledge, Ma'afu Fia/Jacob Ellison, Culum Retallick, Elliot Dixon, Jimmy Cowan, Chris Noakes, Kurt Baker

happy enough with the squad, a few injuries still hurting us but a few of these guys have not played much and so should be pretty fresh, fit subs is where we have done well this year and looking at that bench they should do some damage again this week

JPP on the wing, Beast back, this is a must-win for the Sharks. Come on!!!

3-0 very early by a Lambie penalty

12-3 but it has been a penalty fest. Delany missed 2 in quick succession. Walsh had a talk with both captains about the infringements.

Lambie just showed he is the most complete fly-half we have in the country. He controls all aspects of the game and plays almost Carter-like

Goosen might have a better boot, but Lambie is a much better defender and distributor.
Let's see what the nonces on Keo have to say about "Lambiekins" this week.

He scored 28 points. 1 try, 1 conversion and 7 penalties.

Woops my bad, he did score a try.
But still expected a bit more from this game.

Edit: Brilliant try :)
