SuperRugby: Sharks v Chiefs. 21/04/2012.

not a pretty game to watch, Chiefs overall were pretty messy apart from their defense which was superb. Sam Cane And Liam Messam in particular but the team as a whole were fantastic. I also thought Alex Bradley had a really good game as I tipped - easily good cover for Kane Thomson and really he's put Fritz Lee in no mans land.

For the chiefs, I think barlow needs to be rested for a game. He's dropped off a bit, seems to happen a lot for newer players in the first season they get a lot of game time. Hopefully Leonard, Toby Smith and Afeki will be back soon to rest Barlow and the front row, need the same for the 2nd row. Clarke and Retalick will burn out if they continue to start every week and do the amount of work they are doing. You don't get any as games in the NZ conference but the chiefs have the Hurricanes, Lions and Reds coming up all games they should win and they should look to bring a couple of players back from injury and rest some Key players too - in particular against the Lions. Because the last three rounds will be tough and the top players that get through a lot of work need more than the Bye weeks for resting if the chiefs want to go deep into the finals. That said securing top of the table position will also be Key - so they wont want to drop any games.

Good result though, also may have helped the Canes or Highlanders get that 6th playoff spot

How Crap was Meyer Bosman when he came on??!! He alone helped the Sharks lose...

As for Taumalolo's stamp, isn't that a red card offence??

As for the whole coconut thing, once again the media has blown the whole thing out of proportion! It's becoming more and more evident that some nations' sense of humour gets lost by others... I thought it was a very good description of the tackle...

Once again don't think it was blown out of proportion. It was barely mentioned over here. Not even in my paper this morning. Once again I thought it was funny nut unprofessional. Coconut is an offensive term for a Polynesian so when its meaning is understood it should not be used in professional settings. When you're sitting around with mates at home though it isn't an issue.

that SA commentary team are usally pretty good but they got that Masanga tackle situation totally wrong. Calling it a high no arm tackle and saying it should be a card - is comepletely wrong. It was an accidental head clash the only reason you could say Masanga did not use his arms is because when the heads clashed his whole body went limp and his arms dropped so he didn't complete the tackle with his arms.

Yep, pretty hard to use your head in roder to send the necessary commands to your limbs from yor head, when your head has pretty much lost consiousness.

Is science not a big part of the curriculum in SA? I guess neither is social sciences... :p (just taking the mickey, settle down before you use your keyboards!)

I slept in my science class, after discovering this is a surefire way of failing I dropped it for Geography.

Where I could sleep as much as I wanted and still get an A.

Ah Geography...

Pretty boy Skinstad should go and change his diaper, was uncalled for
He is generally good, but lost a few points here

Seems only the NZ commentary team can see things in perspective and not get carried away with emotion.

Does Bladen still commentate I haven't heard him in ages

Nothing wrong with that tackle, SA commentators always overreact to so called "dangerous" tackles. As for the coconut comment, who gives a ****.

Hugh Bladen commentated on the Bulls game this weekend...

And hopefully the ultra-sensitive people will get over this soon as Bob did apologise for what he said.

I listen to the Afrikaans commentary it's crap but less crap than the English, IMO

Oh... oh haha... Do me a favour, watch a Bok game with Pieter Hendriks.

On SABC 2...

Hahahahahahahahahaha

I'd rather not, could lead to permanent damage
Like in the Edwil van Aarde days in cricket...

They should bring Andy Capistrano back for rugga commentary, he was knowledgeable and had a sense of humour

BadGena it's the experience of a life time, especially when he tries to speak English.
