SuperRugby: Rebels v Bulls. 04/05/2012

Yes I'm whatching it!
Great game, not the Rebels are doing so good at scrumtime, but they're using quick ball from the back of the scrum, Phipps try was built in that way, not from the most solid scrum...

Rebels are playing smart rugby against a stronger side, they're keeping the ball as much as they can and with some good carries (Delve, Jones, Pyle, Davidson), they're getting quick ball that allowed them to attack spaces.
Lazy defences btw

Good game. Perhaps both defences could have been stronger.
Nice to have some balanced commentary and refereeing from OZ for a change.

Beale remains a special player, Bulls took this far too lightly

Blimey, who would have expected Rebels to get 2pts vs the Bulls?
Will have to catch the highlights for this.

Am I the only one who thinks Morné Steyn try shouldn't be allowed?

He looked tackled and held to the ground, he never released the ball and, back on his knee, he dragged the ball to the line... :-/
Also I expect long ban for Luke Jones (sigh, he's a great prospect for Aussie rugby at lock) for his spear on Basson

Yeah I was in two minds about that try too. Don't think it would've made a big difference in the end though.

Aye.

Though their lazy and sometimes poor defence, the Bulls seemed to score anytime they wanted to...

I agree, i was at the game and can't wait to watch it again.
8 tries in the first half makes for spectacular play.
