SuperRugby: Melbourne Rebels v Crusaders. 12/05/2012

McCaw in his first start. Last years laws do not work this year Richie. Rebels did well but the Crusaders coughed up every 2nd ball almost

Ah I see we will be making friends with starting comments like that

Even as a vague-Rebels fan I saw the ref being rather leniant towards them/pinging Crusaders for things that Rebels were getting away with - however you would have expected Crusaders to win this at a canter so even with that, for Rebels to win by >7pts is an outstanding effort.

Where are those people who said they should do away with the Aussie conference as all the teams are gash? :p

It brings the wins for Oz teams against SA and NZ teams up to 8 out of 24. Solid 33% :p

Also brings the Rebels win rating over Crusaders, for all of time, to a cool 100% - the best in the Super Rugby :p

Yeah I was talking to my brother about that :p The only team with a winning record against the Crusaders in Super Rugby. Force would probably not be far behind...

...Damn, I knew that the win by the Blues was too good to be true, and this comes around and balances things out. :-/
Hats off to the Rebels though, they played very well.

Fantasy league fail
vBokie fail
NZ rugby fail (Crusaders,Chiefs)
Aus rugby win (Rebels,Reds)
SA rugby uninspiring (Bulls, Stormers)

What a weekend and oh yeah, let's not forget the Blues victory, eventually

wow, still can't believe it. I went to aami park last night and finally got to see the rebels win at the stadium. still in disbelief as I was fully expecting the crusaders to win easily.

Massive upset.

I jest- absolutely great to the Rebels pull a result together after over a year of frustration.

AAMI park has pushed plenty of teams to the edge but this is a clear sign that the Rebels are establishing themselves as a competitive team now rather than a bottom feeder.

AAMI park is a Great stadium and more teams will come unstuck. I am still amazed at the 18,000+ crowd, if that happened every week it would be like a 23rd man.

Then there is the Force and Perthfontein
