Somehow this feels like Sharks B hosting the Sharks. Can't see the Kings winning this one I'm afraid.

Franchise partners for 10 years, now play against each other. I expect the Sharks to win this one easily. The Kings don't have the fire power up front to seriously compete with guys like Deysel, Coetzee, Kanko, Mtawarira and Bresler. Also, the backlines are so different in terms of experience and quality... If the Sharks don't get a BP win, I will be disappointed.

Sharks are in a different class and it will show in the second half.
Kings to realize that their honeymoon was indeeed a short lived experience into Super rugby

Lol!

it must be pure agony for a Stormer fan to see the Kings have 7 more points than the Stormers on the log?? And that they will still be higher on the log than the Stormers after Round 3...

Back to the topic... If the Sharks don't win, then I'll seriously consider match-fixing, and I'll start with Cheeky Watson!!

Sharks to win by a very big margin... hopefully 30+

The Kings scored some opportunistic tries against the Farce and held out due to dogged defense. That's not going to win you games consistently and certainly not against top opposition.

It's early in the season yet and we'll be waiting for you at Newlands!

- Kings had the Force at home and 4 points from a bye
- Stormers had Bulls and Sharks on the road and earned a losing BP

The Kings also have more points than the Crusaders... Doesn't mean anything

I know! It's just fun to rub salt into the Stormer's wounds... My brother is getting a lot of stick from me... He was such a bigmouth after the CC and now he's dead quiet...

Bulls have a 25% success rate that is 1 out of 4 victories over the Stormers at Loftus lately - put that in your pipe and smoke it, it is said to be fun

That needs some qualification though; if you take the most recent result it is 100% and if you take historically it is also a better way to guage resultst than to cherry pick an amount of years that flatter the Stormers.

We need to consider also that we are supposed to be at our prime while the Bulls should still be considered as being in a development phase with quality young players waiting in the wings and only last week having their first taste of SR and a host of stars out of the frame from only quite recently.

Once we have won 3 SR ***les I'll stand up against Bulls fans more confidently.

EDIT; I am off topic but TBF I don't think there is all that much to consider for this match.

Ja, okay. But at some point we Province fans need to start demanding results. There is a mentality of glossing over the details and plastering the cracks in the Cape that means we'll continue to fall short of our potential. IE It's all fun and games up until you get bungled out of the finals due to not being able to match the intensity and accuracy of teams that are truely ***le contenders when it matters.

Results? You guys have a nice conference trophy (2 already). No other franchise in SA can say that.

Aaaaaand back to the Kings Stormer :p.

No doubt the Sharks will win and the odds are high that they will manage four tries or more.
What I'd like to see from the Kings is two things: Sharks must and will score tries but they must be from good Sharks play, no silly tries and rubbish lapses in defense. I'd also like us to show no fear in terms of taking the Sharks on, no reason to sit on our laurels, we have talent in our outside backs let's make sure we utilize it.

If we do this I'll be happy if we lose 40-0. It's all about the manner in which we lose when it comes to any ***le contender.

Erm. Isn't dogged defense and the odd opportunistic try how we won 14/16 games last season.

You know I love the Stormers and seeing them lose the first two games has been heartbreaking. Enough that I don't really even want to talk about it. I'll watch the Kings lose happily as long as long as the perform to their own potential, but seeing the Stormers under perform with all their quality is sad. That said it is a long season but we've already lost as many games as we did last year in the group stages so we either need to win every game from here on out, or we need to start learning how to get bonus points if we want a shot.
