Squads And Player Ratings

I would ideally have the best players in their position at the 90 point setting the bench mark. I don't like overall stats though I would prefer to have individual stats being more meaningful.
Best 15.
1. Wyatt Crockett
2. Bismark Du Plessis
3. Owen Franks
4. Brad Thorn
5. Victor Matfield
6. Juan Smith
7. Richie McCaw
8. Keiron Read
9. Fourie Du Preez/ Will Genia
10. Dan Carter
11. Digby Iaone
12. SBW
13. Jaques Fourie
14. Chris Ashton
15. Kurtley Beale

Think AndrewSheridan is a better prop than either OwenFranks or Wyatt Crocket, would take either of them apart at scrumtime and is a very good ball carrier? And maybe Pokock for RichieMccaw?

That's your opinion I guess. I respect you for sticking to it but honestly can't understand it.

I'd have Fitzgerald over most of the back three players you named even in his current form.

And our squad backrowers over all but Wood and Croft.

I really dont see why people are rating Wood over Haskell. Wood is very good, but for me he is below Haskell, Croft and Moody still and even Tom Johnson.

If this is your Favroite team. then fair enough but if not... then there is a serious case of Ulster Bias.

*'s implicate some form of ulster bias there.
Ferris at 4?
Dan Tuohy aint good enough to eject DOC yet.
Space for wilson shouldnt be there as ferris, SOB, Wally, Heaslip should be the BRs
and Ian Humphreys... seriously? 88? better then half the starting irish team? No way is he a better bench opion then ROG. Humphreys can be awesomeon attack when he is in form... but bloody hell he can be awful. and he is a liability in defence (ulster moving him all over the place to keep him away from the contact)

Ferris at 4 would be a complete waste, however the back row for the future should be Ferris Heaslip and Obrien, assuming Ferris stays fit. He has been out for a while, but a fully fitferris is arguably the best in the northern hemisphere. Agree Tuohy- not yet, but maybe soon if he pushes on this season. And then there is IHumph, I would not rank him at 88, but it does amaze me that he has never had a run out in green. Yes he is the worst defensive 10 in Ireland, but he is the best attacking 10. And I suspect his defence is equal to that if ROG in the early days, when he too was frankly a barn door. The thought of him igniting an back line with the likes of Bowe/Bod/Trimble/earls would be really exciting, something I'd love to see at least tried!

people u gotta remember that england have a lot more players to choose from. Rugby is what , England's second sport behind football/soccer. Rugby is ireland's fourth sport behind gaelic fottball , hurling and football/soccer. Also englands population is around 52 mil and Irelands is 4 mil. Ireland have beaten england 5 out of the last 6 meetings , surely that speaks for itself?

Is rugby really behind football in Ireland? I can understand the Gaelic Football and Hurling being ahead of it, but football? Munster and Leinster have regularly been 2 of the best team in Europe in recent years, the national team is pretty damn good, then compare it to the Irish football clubs and the 2 Irish National sides? I mean Leinster and Munster are some of the best supported teams in the RaboDirect, and the IRFU had no problem packing out Crok Park when the internationals were there. Surely the attendances speak for themselves?

Rugby isn't Englands second sport, but England do have more registered players. How this doesn't count up to having more quality players is down to the culture of English rugby. And how many people just play Rugby for a laugh.

Rugby is pretty much only in certain strongholds (South Dublin, Limerick) though it has expanded since recent success. Soccer is much more spread out.
