Split: SavageLes protests that he's not a South African (but fails miserably)

All Blacks assistant coach Wayne Smith echoed McCaw's sentiments.

"We are rated No1 in the world but I don't think anyone in the squad actually believes we are No1 in the world after losing to the Boks last year," he said.

This was an interesting article - got to: http://www.supersport.com/rugby/springboks/news/100704/All_Blacks_want_revenge_McCaw.

I am glad that the NZ coaches and players at least agree with my opinion that SA are currently stronger than NZ!
But.... as stated in many posts my opinion is open to change if NZ win the Tri Nations this year!

Ever heard of psychology and putting pressure on the opposition ....

I know we agreed on only rating teams after the last S14 and Tri Nations before the game is released as that would be the most accurate rating possible.
This thread did ask us to rate teams for the next Rugby 2012 game and I gave my opinion based on most recent matches and tournaments. I got abused for my opinions so it will be interesting to note that my opinions were not unfounded see latest report from AB coach:

I am glad that the NZ coaches, players and past players (Fitzpatrick) at least agree with my opinion that SA are currently stronger than NZ!

As stated in many posts my opinion is open to change if NZ win the Tri Nations this year!

Enjoy that ego massage?

Oh FFS, here we go again... Are you going to admit you flat out lied about being Scottish anytime soon?

Bullitt - Just showing that I am not being unreasonable in my opinions and that there was no need for abuse. Please understand Bullitt, that if OZ win this years Tri Nations I am going to blow their trumpets!!!!! In fact I love the Oz and NZ rugby teams. I do favour the Ozzies though and if they do well Feakin Awsome!!!!

So that's a no then.

If anyone has ever seen a Welsh poster on the BBC 606 forum, this thread reminds me of that place at times.

Gayyyyy :bananasex:

You guyz make me laugh. What does it matter where I come from , where I have been or where I am currently living, lol!
The point of the matter is that I LOVE RUGBY! If it is England who are playing like champs I will applaud them. I just find it silly how people get ugly and don't want to give opposing or least favoured teams their credit due. If NZ win this years Tri Nation and I say that they are the best team in the world I can guarantee you that there will be people that disagree and people who will abuse others on their opinions. I guess that is just life!

Expressing your opinion is one thing, constantly repeating it and picking arguments with anyone else who's thoughts differ (while lying about your nationality in an attempt to justify your opinion) is however something else.

Bullitt: Just like everybody else does in this Forum I have had to defend my opinion with substance, facts and similar opinions voiced by RUGBY BRAINS (Fitzpatrick, Smith and co)! I have not lied once, get that straight! I am a Scottish national. In one of my first threads I said that I am Scottish but that I live in Grahamstown. How the hell is that lying????? You are the one going on about my Nationality which is pathetic. Leave me alone!

Bye the way: If I were South African I would be proud of it!

Are you Scottish by birthplace and upbringing, or only by blood?

I'm British by blood, but have lived in SA all my life.

Absolutely Loved it! It closes the SHUTTERS on those who tried to take a personal dig at me. At the end of the day one must just agree to disagree with those idiots. It is good to have one's own opinion about something and to disagree about topics but you dont have to call a guy Lezbian etc etc. Unfortunately and regretably I retaliated. Anyway I loved Fitzpatrick and Smith's views. It would be rather interesting/funny to see if people would ridicule Fitzpatrick or Smith's opinions (they both have more SA, NZ rugby knowlege than anyone on this forum).

SavageLez, you must feel pretty stupid right now...

Had your name been McSavageLez, you may have had a shot, but I've looked into your soal, and I do not see a Scotsman.

Wait...I've never respected Sean Fitzpatrik's opinions.

Anyway, why is there an argument about who is stronger, NZ or SA?

There is a game on in 5 days, why not lets see who is stronger then? South Africa won the Tri Nations in 2009, but many South African's forget very quickly who came last in the Tri Nations in 2008 and who won that years Tri Nations. A year has passed since the last Tri Nations, and NZ is looking like a much stronger squad. I'm not saying we will win I'm just saying it would be foollish to judge who is the better team, prior to their first encounter. If South Africa have another clean sweep, than I'd have to concede SA were a better team this year.

I don't remember the SA pride being yelled out quite so loudly in 2008, or any time prior to 2007. I also don't recall the countless arrogant NZ posters spitting out how good NZ was at any given oppertunity.

LOL!
Try Ronald Leslie Mardon, father from NYC, moved to Scotland, born in Glasgow and am therfore a Glaswegian! Am now living in Grahamstown, own my own Financial services company where I practice in Financial Advisory capacity.

Pssst. Still think SA are currently number 1, until NZ win the Tri Nations. LOL!

Really?

I would swear your name is L***** van der Merwe (which in its prefix alone is Dutch, airgo South African, not Scotland) , you graduated from Graeme College in 1996 - a boys school in the Somerset Heights district of Grahamstown, Eastern Cape which looks after kids from the ages of 5-18, your family name is Bortha and on the 15th of june were quite adiment that "Bafana Bafana are going to win the soccer world cup!" All very Scottish things I must say.

Amazing what information people open themselves up for in public on Facebook then protest anonymity elsewhere.

Bullitt Edit: Name partially blanked out to protect identity
