Yep, tis the season :) ... Adam Ashley-Cooper also has to decide which team he will play for in he next few days, but I believe it's which Australian franchise he will play for :)

yeap, gonna be a flood going this year I'm thinking 16-22 top players. I did a list after the last WC and I think the number was about 14

there wont be that many with contracts ending after the world cup but many have written into their contracts that if they dont make the AB's squad they are free to go.

Guess we will have to wait and see.

Meh...I'm sick of all these washed up foreigners...I'd rather we use our youngsters...

French rugby is shooting itself in the foot, blinded by short term gain and the crudest economical thinking...
<_<

Sivivatu is one of the most dangerous wingers around and as good a finisher as he is he has the ability to play others into space as well. I think the fact that he has been injured for close to a year has meant people forgot just how good he is.

It's got to be annoying that your fellow frenchmen are pursuing this with so much domestic talent up there.

Yes, it is extremely annoying. Especially considering the fact that most of the fans remain bigots with a 15 miles horizon, completely unaware that the T14 is far from the best rugby, refusing to acknowledge the necessity of changing the competition setup, and harping about the rugby "values", while cheering on the 28 foreigners playing on the pitch.
They wouldn't recognise a pisstake if it hit them in the face.

/rant over.

Could never understand how fans could associate with teams like that (so readily). I mean the likes of Toulon, where the first team seems to change every year. Totally feel your pain.

I suppose thats one of the good things with the Irish setup, the IRFU limit the amount of foreigners coming in to the provincial squads.

Self delusion would describe this pretty well I believe. Some of them are ******, but the other problem is that there is just not enough good french players, so you have to make the numbers with foreigners.

The only solution is to cut the league to 10/12 teams and shorten the season. Not gonna happen though...

Top 14 does have probably the most attractive rugby in NH but still feel a French team won't win Heineken Cup this year or next

Interesting they sign Sivivatu, as soon as they close negotiations with Nalaga. Wouldn't been great to see Sivivatu, Nalaga and Byrne as the back three.

They terminated Nalaga's contract a while back.
