should Bannahan be starting at 13?

I really don't think any of your 13 options make much sense.
Tindall maybe, but not on current form. Banahan, as I've said before, does not seem like a good option to me but we'll find out tomorrow.
Simpson-Daniel, while an excellent winger, is not the sort of player to be at 13 internationally, especially not outside Waldouck as that would give us an incredibly light centre pair.
And Ojo? At 13? Really? If you're serious, then same argument as for JSD.

Wouldn't Allen or Clarke be a better option outside Waldouck? Or even Armitage TBH (although i rate Tindall above Armitage)?

ha

im sorry but Armitage is a fairly good fullback... not a centre

clarke= not good enough for an internation centre
Allen= possible but im not so sure

Ojo's not light.

Clarke's the best 13 defensively, the best rucker and a sensible attacker with a bit of bulk. If you want a man to do Tindall's job but more reliably, Clarke is your man. I reckon most of Ashton's tries for Saints has his hand in them somewhere.

Allen's good enough for a trial. I'd prefer trialling him at 12, but he can play 13 and is a good one. And Waldouck's at least as much 13 as 12.

I'd also add George Lowe to the list. **** it, I'll add Billy Twelvetrees before Matt Banahan.

topsy ojo is quite light but he is and exceptional attacker and would really suck in deffenders

I have absolutely no idea what any of your guys worrying about. Mite and Bates are at Twickenham RIGHT NOW and have sent in a photo of Hape and Banahan doing some last minute training before the game:

Take from that photo what you will.

I stand by the fact that Ojo and JSD are worse options at 13 than the other contenders.

In other news, Banahan did Ok but I wouldn't expect him to retain his place.
As one or other of the morons that commentate for Sky put it - He's been 'chosen to be the log to knock down the castle door'
Didn't do enough to maintain a place above Allen or Waldouck imo, but since when has MJ cared about my opinion :p

To be fair, I'd say he did do enough to keep them out, in that he didn't do anything wrong.
I don't think he should be ahead of either of those, but in Johnsons eyes he is, and in not arseing up horribly today, he's done nothing to lower himself in Johnsons eyes

I expect Tindall to be back at 13 next week, but, unlike last week, I now think it's not the end of the world if Banahan is put there. He didn't do anything wrong bar one missed tackle, and did adequately in attack and defence, so it's not the end of the world if he's there (especially if Hape continues to improve)

Based on that game there's no reason why Bananaman shouldn't play 13 but there are far better options availiable to Johnson

im glad to see ye nay sayers proved wrong some what ... agreed he was not spectacular but he was solid and did score a try his power did show its self occcasionaly as did his offloadingr
