Scotland v Samoa

Im like you brother lol. Although I know more players and staff and am Samoan myself and love our Rugby team with a passion, I havent managed to see any of their games live as I live in NZ and the only way for me to keep with the Manu Samoa is to subscribe to Rugby channel. I watch highlight replays from some guy named tonytai off youtube.

My pick of the top players for our team would have to be Kahn Fotualii (halfback), Paul Williams (fullback), Alesana Tuilagi (wing), Filipo Levi (lock), Seilala Mapusua (2nd 5) and Tasesa Lavea (1st 5). They might not be so experienced in the international scene but played plenty of top grade Rugby such as Super and Heinikken Rugby.

Please God let us have ONE win.
I'm a regular follower of the team, so I'll give my take.

The backrow is a real strength. They've really stood up on this tour. I really rate Treviranus as high as I do Kaino - he's that good! He doesn't even play professional rugby, which makes it even more impressive that he can perform at such a high level. Stowers is having a breakthrough season and bringing his Premiership form into the Samoan team. Salavea is the new kid but looks right at home at this level. Very impressed with him.

Other key players would be Mapusua and Fotualii. Mapusua just hogs all the tackles in the midfield because he's so good at reading play; he has an uncanny knack to snuff out attacking play. Fotualii has played 3 tests and won 2 Man of the Match awards - he has quick service and practically runs the ship for Samoa.

On a lesser extent, you have Lavea and Williams(had a great game last week).

The difference between Scotland in comparison to Wales and Ireland is evident in their team list. They have respect, they don´t rest players and make odd selections. Nothing like James Hook playing 13 with Scotland. They keep their game plan and make sure they are able to move forward. Pretty siomple really, but Wales and Scotland forgot this vs Fiji and Samoa this month.

Great news for me - the game will be on tv!

Great to see it in Aberdeen btw. I am a fan for moving games around. Another thing both Wales and Ireland failed to do this month. they used their national stadiums only - for 4 matches and didn´t fill them. Thomond Park should have hosted Samoa and Liberty Stadium should have hosted Fiji. But no, money talks. Interesting considering the SRU continue to have a large debt.

Scotland to win in the cold and Aberdeen to push for one match every year. They hosted Canada two years ago and got a good crowd - fullhouse should I say. My only criticism of the SRU really ought to use Glasgow once a year. Less profits and a soccer stadium like Hampton Park would be used but Glasgow is vital to the future if rugby in Scotland. If I were the SRU I would try to host 4 matches every November like the other 3 home unions do and have two at Murrayfield, one in Glasgow and the other at Aberdeen or another venue such as Perth. One Pacific Island opponent per year is a good idea. Tonga, have no tests this month!

As you said, the SRU has large debts, and crowd pullers such as the ABs and Boks are too vital to move to other venues

That said, Glasgow is only 30 miled or so away from Murrayfield, whilst I highly doubt the football authorities
Would allow 'egg-chasers' to use their pitches

Can anyone watching this game live please post updates
You are my last hope

Good game Scotland, I cant wait to watch highlights. Although we didnt win one game in the AIs the experience is something our team will be grateful for.

Da iawn Nikki Walker, as they would say on S4C.
Good work Scotland, they should certainly be firing for the 6N and WC.
