Scotland - South Africa

Hey, watch it Shaggs haha. Kanko is an incredibly versatile player who, unlike Spies, is on form and will show it tomorrow ;)

Not many Scots on here are there? I hope Kanko has a good game and forces PdV's hand although if Spies could build on the Wales game where he did make more yards than usual and didn't lose the ball that much. Still AWOL in general play.. and they give him MotM!?

Guys I hope become regular fixtures moving forward after the AI's include: Mvovo, Basson as the regular 11 and 14 (maybe Aplon at 14 or on the bench), Alberts and Lambie (would like Lambie at the back)

Very early and these guys still need to play against NZ and Aus but I can see them being regular starters. Think Flip v/d Merwe, JdJ, Aplon and Hougaard have already made their mark on the team. Would like Frans Steyn to come back and lose some weight as he does bring a lot to the side (especially the ability to put the ball over the posts from range puts opposition under pressure if they give off penalties early in the game) but he looked lazy/slow and disinterested off late.

It looks like a lot of the guys that go to play in the NH return a bit. . . rounder. Perhaps they are getting too much money there, or maybe the rugby over there isn't so physical? comment @ Francois Steyn's current figure.

Maybe it's because the NH teams train more focused on muscle strength and the SH teams focus more on speed and agility (for the back-line that is)

Perhaps they are getting too much money there
Rugby players in the SH don't get paid enough to eat?!

:p

I think it's as Ezequiel said, up here there's a lot of emphasis on size/strength. I think F. Steyn looks bulkier now, but not fatter.

As that's said, Joe Ansbro gets a late call up to replace Max Evans. With my Saints hat on, bugger it. With my rugby fans hat on, I wouldn't complain at him playing 13 for England (certainly better then Banahan). He's no O'Driscoll, but solid in defence and none too shabby for pace either.

Now I've said that, let's all watch him have an absolute mare!

Ah, well there goes any hope of us score a great try (a try at all would be nice anyways...)

Shh... It's all a conspiracy I tell you!

An interesting fact that none of the SA 'pundits' have picked up is that Scotland are playing with
Their 4th choice El Capitano (after Cusiter, Blair and Kellock)

Sent a very strongly worded e-mail, for their incredibly disrepectful stance towards Scotland, saying how bad they have been
This year

Only 3-6. Scotland not playing as bad as many people thought

Starting to think we could win this...

Not even Alberts is getting things right, and got bullied by a gang of forwards

Worst 2 on SA side are Stegmann and Kirchner. I'd say bring on Lambie and Alberts for those two and we will win hands tied behind our backs
