Scarlets - Northampton Saints (14/01/2012, 13:30)

God Damnit!!!!! Absolutely ****. Both scrum halves cost the Scarlets now. Really should have won this game at a canter.

Oh christ... What a shambles.
Scarlets just can't convert from time in the 22. Saw it against Munster and again today. Wellies was chronic when he came on, but Liam Williams was hardly better at fullback. Stupid decisions from Gareth Davies and Rhodri Williams will be pointed out, but really the Scarlets should have done better as a team.

Fail.

In any event the pass was forward even if Foden hadn't have intercepted it. They shot themselves in the foot with those missed chances. Good game though

Yeh, what's happened to Stephen Jones, he's just fallen to pieces. I don't know how many times he's knocked the ball on in recent games. Not half the player he was.

You might be right about the whole team failing to a point. But one of those two chances at the end should have been converted. We can look at other instances, but ultimately the first missed chance caused by Gareth Davies not passing out to a full backline was unforgivable. I'd have to watch it again, but there looked like there was 4 players over, and he tries the dummy! Could have cost him his place in the Welsh squad if Gatland decides to be harsh, even if he played well for the most part. Selfishness like that should not be tollerated.

Northamptons defense was great, but even then the Scarlets created the opportunities, they only have themselves to blame.

Think Jones has realised that Preistland is now pretty much nailed on as Scarlets and Wales 10. I almost expect him to retire fairly soon, after 6 Nations maybe

I agree. He (Davies) isn't worth a squad spot now. Wellies has never had the bottle in must win matches. I can list so many matches when he just hasn't converted and cost Wales.
