Saracens have been given the green light to renovate the Barnet Copthall Stadium in North London in a move which means they would play their home matches on an artificial pitch.

This could be a good thing especially with how far artificial pitches have advanced... However am I right in thinking the stadium has a running track round it?

Correct.

The Barnet Copthall Stadium has a running track round it. Even with re-developing Barnet Copthall Stadium the track will stay for athletic meets.

Though the standings seem to be placed over the running track.

I'm not going to another away match at Sarries until they get this sorted. The lowlifes that skulk around that condemned toilet in Mordor (aka Vicarage road) is bad enough.

Excellent news. Sarries have been trying to move out of Vicarage for a while now, good to see us back to proper London, back to our own stadium and into somewhere which we ought to be able to fill every week.

Lets not go nuts, 10000 is still a huge ask.

I suppose at least Barnet is on the same bus route to St Albians. Still Hertfordshire though, not London!;-)

The stands are moveable. For rugby matches they'll be moved closer, for running be moved back to expose the track. That's why in the image you can only see part of the running track poking out the back of the stand behind the goal posts.
100% true, look it up if you want.

If only Sarries had some fans and wern't so...annoying i guess. i used to dislike the tigers in this way but i am actually quite fond of them now.

No idea why though?

Heathan!

I know its feels so wrong saying it but it's kind of a hate/ respect kind of thing but with sarries its just a hate thing.

I think all music after trys are scored should be band! Stupid idea, you can't hear the cheering as much

When did this comment sneak in?

Lucky they don't have a negative rep button for such blasphemy :D

What type of band? Big Band? Brass band? Jazz band? Four-piece thrash metal band?

A sweedish Jazz experimental band but considering the club it would probably end up a south african band with some high profile english member brought in! lol

Stand on the crumbly terrace with all their borrowed glory hunters from the local soccer team. That opinion will change.
