Saracens v Munster

<div class='quotemain'>
<div class='quotemain'> Cant knock the ref like Munsterman as Munster were offside all game(as usual).
Ahhh there was a stage there in the second half when the ref was calling them for anything and everything. Some justified, some not. Overall i dont think they were sinned against more than Sarries, but I can unserstand what the fans were thinking.

Hope Toulouse can cause some real heartache for what I view as the most annoying fans on the planet.
They annoy everyone because they do their job better than any other bunch of rugby fans on the planet. Begrudging them wont do you any good, just drink up and join in, cause they wont go away.

If you talk to the real hard core Munster fans they are fed up with the new breed of "casual" fans who have become an embarrassment to their great province. The drunken ***** dessed up as leprechauns with no knowledge of the sport let alone manners are dragging the good name of Munster down. Let us not forget that the average attendance at Thomond park is a tiny 6,850 for all games. This is my overwhelming evidence to prove that they are not the greatest fans in the world but a bunch of glory hunters who let the team down when they dont have one of the glamour sides in Europe to play.
Aye, partially true. But don't forget the two main cores of munster rugby supporters are seperated by about 100Km. A bit far to travel every weekend...on Irish roads.

Oi! Presty...
What was all that mess with your props, eh? In America we have a cream for that...it's called vagisil.

Sorry O'Ro, our props are getting old with age and I think Visage got a bit confused. Here is a photo of him thinking Saracens won taken an hour ago from Coventry.

I don't buy the old age confusion thing for a second. That was some Tom-Foolery if I've ever seen it. Poor Saracens trying to get uncontested scrums...looks like those lads have taken a liking to Diet Rugby.

No, actually, we were trying to get another prop on by the looks of it.

It was going to be uncontested scrums straight away but the bickering was about trying to sub someone for a prop so we could keep going.

Besides, whatever it was, didn't really mean anything as Munster were mostly under the kosh for the 15 minutes Saracens were down to first 13 and then 14 men :p

You did give Munster a good run for the money. The forwards were strong, and it was a good battle. I loved all that rucking and banging. That's my sort of Rugby.

Me and my Munster friend agreed that the HEC Semi-Final was really "Grump-a-thon 2008".

Come to Coventry to watch two of the grumpiest packs around collectively grouse! Rugby also played in between.

Keep the fat ******** ON the pitch.

The way sarries worked the scrum all day, I think they has to sedate lloyd and johnston to stop them from getting back onto the field before the end of their sin bin! johnston, visage and johnston were all well up for it.

Especially Census - fattest of the fat ********.

The castration of the scrum was kind of ... painful - crushed half the competition of a HEC semi. Balls!

I agree there are a large of glory hunters that have jumped on the bandwagon since the HC win 2 years ago, people that go to the matches just to say they were there. But the rest of your comment is a joke, Munster supporters have always been brilliant and Thomond Park is always packed for HC games. The fact is that Munster rarely play their strongest team in the Magners League and it is difficult for fans from Limerick to travel to Cork (or vice versa). Munster supporters are the best in the world its a simple fact.

aye no leinster supporters, highest average attendance in the league

HC semi 2 years ago, remember that? Lansdowne Road and not a blue shirt to be seen, great fans

better than having a mass jumping on your tailcoats if ya ask me

Quite agree, real Munster fans are as ashamed as the rest of the rugby public with the drunken pitch invasions, shamefull leprecauns and unknowledgeable hangers on. Ban the f***ers. As for "cant think of a user name`s" comments on Munster having **** average gates cos they dont pick their best side for Magners league games, what difference does that make. Glaws had 15,000 for London Irish when they only had 4 regulars playing this season. What a load of tosh. they dont watch Magners games cos they have no "real" passion for their team.

Munster have one objective: Win the feckin' HEC. That is the league cup for them. Theres only ever been one and one single league cup for them in the last 12 years and thats the HEC. I'm surprised they haven't changed their constitution to just contain the words:

"WIN THE MOTHERFECKIN' HEC FOOLS!"

If they put out their first team every match, they'd get full crowds but they'd lose their advantage of pacing their first XV throughout the season. Simple economics. On the bright side, all this player resting allows lots of younger Irish the chance to get a taste of first class rugby against players they usually wouldn't play against in domestic rugby.

So in a way, its a good idea.

What a boring and souless season when you only try in a handfull of games each season. No wonder I hate the glory hunting hangers-on! They are everything thats wrong with our game.

Musgrave park has been sold out most of the time this season, the problem is its only 8500 capacity. If all the Munster fans were in the same city we would fill Thomond every week but Cork to Limerick or vice vera is too far to drive every week especily on Friday night.

Well, winning the Magners League means nothing at the moment, just ask the Ospreys and Leinster. So in a way, the only thing worth winning for the Celtic teams is the HEC.

Well thats a terrible shame and something should be done about it. As for Munster Mans comments on the games being too far to travel alll I can say to him is real fans follow their teams wherever they play, not just big HEC games.

Indeed, I don't see why the teams that get knocked out of the Heineken Cup don't up the tempo in the remaining Magners games and really stick it to the opposition. That would be a good start.

the problem comes from automatic qualification to the HEC. The reason why the Prem is so competitive is everyone is desperate to be in the top 4. as a fan its great to be able to watch full on rugby all season long with the play-offs at the end. The flip side being its hard to fight on both fronts and the HEC campaign is harder for the English sides.
