[RWC2023] South Africa vs Tonga (01/10/2023)

Six stone difference between the two props is insane
Don't know whether I'm more impressed that Nche is able to compete with him at scrum time or that Taumeifuna is actually able to be pretty mobile around the park. Put in a 66 minute shift against Scotland last week.

Think he'd absolutely be a better player if he shed a good 10-20 kilos, though. Just no real reason to be that heavy at that height.

Why are they inviting SA to hit them into touch repeatedly

South Africa looked like they played that ball on the ground

I'm impressed with our defense after that pummeling and not conceding a try.

Good Fourie lineout throwing practice.

Is this what it feels like to have a kicker?

Been a real poor round of games tbh.

Next week could be ok, a few potentially competitive games but wouldn't be surprised if none ended up as one score matches.
Hate to say it but I'm sort of done with the group stage now. Only so many spirited drubbings, horrendous card cock ups and dreadful commentary teams I can stay interested in.
