[RWC2023] South Africa vs Scotland (10/09/2023)

Alun-Wyn Jones on the Irish broadcast said Kriel and Russell should both have been given a yellow card.

Too much 'stick to the plan' rugby from us. Reminds me of how we played in 2021.

Wasn't there an elbow or forearm which started the heavy handbags? Anyone got a clip of that?

Can't use that birb site any more as I can't 2FA without paying (and I can't pay without signing in).

Have we gotten a clear answer on whether banned players can be replaced yet? If not then I reckon SA are playing (at least) the rest of pool games with Moodie at 13.

Agreed.

Yet the commentators were flabbergasted with the pen against Russell which confused me. Clear shoulder no arms tackle
True but I would like to have seen the previous challenge checked as well

For those asking about the "red", in the Japan v Chile game Sigren was shown a yellow (after review) for a high tackle on Matshushima who was landing after a jump, almost identical to Curry incident. Perhaps someone has a video online.

Nah, it wasn't a jump he ran into him - it's more similar to this incident except Kriel's was with much more force
