[RWC2023 SF2] England vs South Africa (21/10/2023)

Who else do we pick for props? BV the big blunder really.

I'd have kept Cole/Marler on until they were gasses but I don't think we could have expected Steward and Sinckler to **** the bed the much.
We could on Sinckler because he's been doing this for a while. I really don't think he's 100% as he seems to constantly suffer from a back injury and doesn't look the same player.

I'd have kept props on, was not a high energy game and had Stewart instead of sinckler. Sinckler has been my poor for a few years now.

Im happy, gutted but not unhappy, we had terrible warm up games and it looked bleak.

We executed a strong gameplan to beat argentina, we won the rest of the pool games and held on despite a scare from Samoa.

We showed more atracking promise vs Fiji and held on for the late fight back to get to a SF, the min that was required from our WC draw IMO.

We finished that game in a position where had Pollard missed the pen and we went on to win then we would have deserved it just as much as SA deserve it now.

Id actually say we were the better team and just small margains(and big SA front rowers) were the difference.

O'Queeffe's capacity to continually miss the most basic of things is truly remarkable. In case you are reading this mate - you cannot in fact call a mark outside the 22.

I thought my reputation is worth less than 1 euro...
I am so sorry for you, mine is worth billions of euros, so if Raynal refs the final, I'll be one of the richest man on the surface of the earth.
Not even a remote chance, i am afraid...

Seen people giving out about the final scrum but considering how the previous ones went I'm willing to believe SA won it more than we suddenly turned the tides
I have literally no idea who's doing what, but I'm willing to believe neither do the referees and it's largely refereed on the balance of probability.

If Raynal refs the final he will be by the worst ref to ever ref a final.

Watched that as live about half an hour behind.

Well done the Boks. Incredibly brave from England, but really coulda, shoulda.

Whether the scrum penalties were right or not, you still need props with the strength and smarts. Our replacements didn't. This needs fixing. Cole, Marler and Martin all justified their selections.

They were bad conditions but the one that really got away was the not straight attacking line out about 5 minutes into the second half. Go over from that and I think that would have been game over.

Boks bench won that for them. They've got some interesting decisions for the final.

Seemed pretty clear that England's loosehead (Genge?) was boring in on the last scrum, to me. He was getting touched up.

So where was the TMO if that were the case? They seem to intrude into everything else...
