Looks like a damn fine side for the Aussie Baba's (http://www.rugby.com.au/News/NewsArticle/tabid/1699/ArticleID/4206/Default.aspx):

15. Lachie Turner (NSW Waratahs)
14. Rod Davies (Queensland Reds)
13. Rob Horne (NSW Waratahs)
12. Matt Giteau (Brumbies)
11. Drew Mitchell (NSW Waratahs)
10. Berrick Barnes (NSW Waratahs)
9. Nick Phipps (Melbourne Rebels)
8. Pat McCutcheon (NSW Waratahs)
7. Matt Hodgson (Western Force)
6. Dave Dennis (NSW Waratahs)
5. Nathan Sharpe (Western Force, captain)
4. Sitaleki Timani (NSW Waratahs)
3. James Slipper (Queensland Reds)
2. Tatafu Polota Nau (NSW Waratahs)
1. Ben Daley (Queensland Reds)

Run on Reserves:

16. James Hanson (Queensland Reds)
17. Pekahou Cowan (Western Force)
18. Dean Mumm (NSW Waratahs)
19. Beau Robinson (Queensland Reds)
20. Ben Tapuai (Queensland Reds)
21. Luke Morahan (Queensland Reds)
22. Mark Gerrard (Melbourne Rebels)

Apparently that's 407 test caps worth of class experience. I wasn't sure what type of team Canada was going to face, but after seeing the roster, Canada will be lucky to keep it within 30. Hell, a side like this could make the quarterfinals at the WC. Canada's only saving grace may be unfamiliarity within the Aussie Baba's squad.

Prediction: Canada loses 47-16

That is an amazing squad but should be great for the boys to go up against some of the best Australia has to offer, I will wait to see the Canadian lineup before adding my prediction.

i was worried this would be a dirty tracker team, but this is a perfect test for our boys. this will give them a taste of what they will face at the RWC.

I'm guessing Crowley will send out our best side or close to it for the game, I'm guessing a slightly weaker side will play the Queensland Reds Selects.

The game is on Friday(Thursday in Canada I assume) at Skilled Park in Gold Coast, does anyone know a starting time?

No, I knew it would be a strong team, as Robbie Deans said he was going to name a strong team, and he wants to give game time to those in his world cup squad, coming back from injury, and those that haven't made it, but need to stay match fit, as injury cover.

Hopefully Keiran Crowley will name his top side for this match

The game takes place at 19:30(7:30 p.m.) Australian Eastern Standard Time on Friday. Hopefully Rugby Canada will provide a stream, or TSN will pick up an Aussie broadcast. So my quick time zone calculation says the game starts at 5:30 a.m. Eastern time in Canada. I might be up that early if my grape harvest is still going, or might just get up anyway if the game is being shown.

So that would be 3:30 am in real Canadian time ... ur, I mean Mountain time then :D ... situation normal then :D

... I'll check TSN this week, but let me know if the stream thing is happening ... if you are still talking to me after that "real Canadian time" remark :D

Sadly I have just found out that no Australian network is showing the game(as of now) which apparently is dissapointing Oz fans and analysts as well so I would be shocked if TSN is showing it. Perhaps the unions will provide a stream or archive of the game as is often the case with Rugby Canada.

As for the time zones maybe the game can be shown like Canadian federal elections where results aren't broadcast until the local area is late enough...LOL

Sadly, I don't thing the live stream thing will happen as the Australian union doesn't seem to do this ... might be a live score update from a site somewhere though ... I thought Fox Sports might have covered the match in Australia though

Apparently Fox are showing a replay of the Wallabies awful showing at Eden Park instead of this match which is leaving the rugby union community fuming LOL. This should be a pretty good game six RWC Aussies(plus potential injury replacments) versus a full strength Canadian team, what a stupid broadcasting decision.

After seeing this lineup my expectations for Canada are very low. We will be lucky to keep them under 80 points

If it's the same kind of stream as when England played the Aussie BaaBaas it's just a fixed camera in the centre of the pitch that shows the whole pitch (though they added in a couple of ocmmentators on the 2nd match because so many watched :p )
Basic, but does the job!

Great to see Drew Mitchell back, I know he's played a couple of games for Sydney Uni, but this will be a step up :)

I think our defence is good enough not to give up 80 as long as Riordan dosen't give away every lineout again. I'm more worried about us putting up points in this one, but again I have to see who Crowley puts on the squad before adding a prediction.

Uggghhh hate the no edit, the Canadian lineup will be announced Wednesday.

... I was just going to ask that :D, ... It should be a good game - I think Canada could do pretty well if they pick their strongest team

The defensive structure has unquestionably been improved. That will be our saving grace. If I was in the the same room as Clive Griffiths I'd probably kiss him, but you can't play defense for 80 minutes without falling apart and I'm not convinced that we will be able generate any offence after seeing the two games against the US. I'm trying not to be pessimistic but I just can't see a different result no matter how I look at it. I pray I'm wrong. However this will be an important game for Canada because it will give us a good indication of what we are in store for when you kick off against France and NZ. The level of play that these players are capable of is so vastly superior to anything any of them will have bee exposed to it will be overwhelming. DTH and JC being possible exceptions. If I can find a web stream I'll be watching and cheering anything they give me to cheer about but ...

that is basically an Australia A team

Isn't that essentially what the Australian Barbarians are though?
It's what they were treating it as when England played against them last year
