RWC: All Blacks - France (24-09-2011, 15:30)

There seems to be alot going at the breakdown in terms of off feet and slight side entry are not being as heavily penalised for either team at the moment. Tackler not releasing and ball placement is most heavily refereed. In fact has this been a trend for the WC so far?

Agreed. The IRB need to have a look. It's not solely the fault of the referee's, the touch judges are just as much to blame for failing to help the man in the middle.

As bad as the scoreline is, and the France defense has looked bad, I like the way France are running. They dont look horrible. Maybe its the booze that's clouding my judgment

I agree. There's alot to referee in general, especially at the pace this game is being played at. I've always felt touch judges do not intervene unless absolutely necessary, where in reality they should be a second pair of eyes.

Agreed mate, England gave away two early pens for holding on. It seemed to me they had only just hit the floor when the ref blew. I think they forget it is blood hard to release the ball when about four people are on top of you.

I also now have a new training video called How Not To Tackle (Brad Thorn).

I'm starting to really dislike NZ as players

It's annoying as they play incredibly good rugby, but sometimes when I watch them play I'm just thinking "Someone shoe him" "Kick him" etc.

Jerome Kaino, for example, used to be one of my favourite players, can't stand him now, seems like a proper d***head on the pitch

Yes Kaino was wrong for just sticking out the arm like that needless really but the French players are so much likeable for clutching his eyes when the hand wasn't even close to that area. Milking a penalty or trying to coerce the referee to give a yellow card isn't all that noble either.

So what's the mark under the eye of Yachvili all about then?

it's probably the famous in-fighting the french are so known for!

everyone knows that the all blacks don't play dirty, don't use hands to secure the ball in a ruck (mccaw is particularly averse to such antics), don't throw forward passes etc. they just play rugby so pure it has a gleaming innocent quality to it. it's in fact shocking that any of these nations are even entertaining the idea of trying to beat the All Blacks in 'THEIR' tournament.

Badum tss :p

Mils is on as a water carrier, probably the closest he'll get to the pitch this WC :p

Yachvili should come play for his motherland.... France is hopeless

and Mils should go play for his!

samoa need a spark in their backline for the fiji game

edit: Please save your k@k intercept passes for Jean De Villiers, Dan

That could have happened at any time of the game though. Not trying to defend what kaino did but the french player milked it for all he could. Its just not the all black players who do the wrong things as it seems to be implied in the last few pages.

try!

what was mermoz show boating about?! can he see the score

I think you are.

There was a shot of his face as he lined up the kick and the mark was there.
