[RWC 2023 Final] New Zealand v South Africa 28/10/23 20:00 BST

Wow you are very smart, you caught us out with the gameplan! What now?

Ok but seriously, Pollard is known for hard running at 10 he is not like Sexton who pockets very deep. He will spread it just not as much as Libbok. But he has an attacking skillset with his kicks much more than most WR players.

I love how NZ is so worried about what we are doing and we have not said a thing about what they are doing. I juts mentioned that the silkyness of Telea worries me.
🤣😁I'm so worried I've placed a 4-digit bet on us to win by 13+ points🥃👈

Foster nominated for Coach of the Year? WTF - who nominated him?! Andy Farrell should clean that up.
Ironic that Libbok is nominated as breakthrough player of the year and he's been dumped. If Telea scores a couple of tries in the final, he should clinch it
POTY nominees: Aki, Etzebeth, Dupont, Ardie Savea. Ardie for me.

All Blacks team named at 5am-NZT/6pm-CEST

Who is Sexton ?! You talking about that oak that scream all day and played for the biggest choker team of all time 🤣

I really wanted NZ to win this one but the opportunity to see the fallout from this has swung me right back into SA's favour.
What fallout!?? If we lose, we weren't good enough and I get to see the door slammed on Foster on his way out. Winning RWC won't undo the irreparable damage he's done to the All Blacks legacy.

Don't know what possessed Farrell to start a 38-year-old who could barely run or kick. Sexton was just a passenger all night..

I'm glad Libbok has been dropped as he's a much more dangerous runner than Pollard who's only in there to kick. The 7/1 bench is a clear acknowledgement that their forwards are not very fit, evidenced by their cynical time-wasting with fake injuries, slow-walking to set-pieces, constant drinks breaks, "water-carriers" running onto the field like league trainers and barking out instructions...I like our chances.

I'd find it hilarious if they lost both their games with 7-1 split.
Personally still prefer 6-2 but then again if we somehow make it, it will look like a masterstroke even if I don't want to see it ever again.

What damage is he perceived to have done? I know the AB's have had a few loses under him, but from an outsider looking in having a less competitive domestic league I.e. loosing the SA teams won't have done much good.

I was surprised to hear over the world cup that the game isn't doing too well at grass roots levels, clubs closing etc and struggling to compete with other sports.

Remember in 2019 when 6-2 was all the buzz? Now it's the norm. Next WC, you will see others with a 7-1.

Considering the 7-1 split with no replacement hooker (line out thrower I don't think the game says it has to be the hooker) and no replacement kicker was a massive contributer to the loss against Ireland I don't think it was masterstroke you think it is. Even if they win Saturday its a 50% success rate.

With still no obvious benefit.

This is the third 7 - 1. Second in the world cup. Has nothing to do with fitness. Does it really work we don't know since the time SA won using it was when the AB just did not pitch so the 7 - 1 was never tested that game. What we do know is that against Ireland the game was lost due to kicks missed. Those kicks might have came from the 7 - 1 or maybe not.

Can't blame the Springboks for going for forward power throughout. It's been a traditional strength of SA rugby, only logical to stick with it, albeit going unconventional in this one.
