Hi, I've been thinking about this for a couple of days and I don't mind if it's closed because there is already an idea to do an official TRF system.
Basically what I've been thinking is to have a ranking system for people who play in the TRF HB RWC 2011 tournaments and I was thinking of using something similar enough to the IRB ranking system just much easier and simple to understand.
What I'm going to do is have everyone who plays start off with 40 points, like the IRB rankings.<br>Each game is worth zero points so the amount of games you play won't affect the rankings too much.
How it works is that each match you are playing for the other teams points so if you win you get 3 of their points and they lose three points.(The number might go down when rankings are spread out)
e.g Player A beats Player B in their very first match so Player A has 43 points and Player B has 37.
The teams you play as also effect the amount of points you get so if somebody as New Zealand beat Namibia they won't get full points.
How I plan to do this is that if you are playing a team 9 points worse than you you're handicapped 1 point and the other team get that point so if you win as NZ(93) you gain only 2 points and if you lose as Argentina(82) you lose only two points, but if Argentina were to win they'd gain 4 points and vice versa.
If you are a team 18 points better than the other team you are handicapped 2 points.
A draw means each team stay the same or lose and gain 1 or 2 points depending on team ratings.
I am planning to do a test run with Teldalati's European test league if they don't mind. (These points will be reset once the TRF league starts)
As I only use PS3 if somebody wanted to volunteer to do the Xbox rankings that would be greatly appreciated but I don't mind too much doing it myself if I have to.
Rankings will either appear in this thread, my signature or both.(Yes I might have to get rid of James
)
