Rugby 10s and 7s lineout

what happens is you'll have 1 pod (2 lifters and a jumper and normally the 3 forwards) the player who throws in (normally the scrum half) will throw in, and while the ball is in the air and players hand will loop round and catch the ball from the side and play on. That's how 7s lineout works

Generally 5 including hooker one lifting pod of 3 and a man at the back, but you can pull the man at the back out.

10's isn't really popular in the traditional rugby nations, so it is hard to know what the standard is. A lineout of four people is feasible and gives a lot of variety. Many sides use it in 15s (Robbie Deans' Australia used a lot last season).
