Review of England’s 6 Nations Performance

I don't think Eastmond's a poor defender - he can make his tackles. His positioning may be a bit off because of his recent code switching, but that'll improve in time.
Pound-for-pound, I'm sure he's good. I think he'll stand a better chance on the wing or tucked into the half-backs though. 12/13 is like the one area where backs can't avoid taking on forwards, and he's going to have a hard time stopping the Morgans and Vunipolas. I'd have a big 8 receiving the ball from the fly-half behind a couple of dummy runners and running into midfield. Done right and its guaranteed meters. Also, with fast-enough ball, just recycling the 8 straight at the 10-12 channel would be deadly in itself, if it were Ford and Eastmond.

Think j'nuh's right. Play Eastmond at 12 for England you virtually lock in Farrell. It'll be interesting to see what Bath do next season actually, they've got a major collection of very talented but relatively small backs, which doesn't sound the best recipe.

And Banahan. He's neither small, nor a back. :p

9. Stringer 10. Ford/Heathcote 11. Biggs 12. Eastmond 13. Joseph 14. Agulla(?) 15. Abendanon DOES sound exciting though.
