But to be truthful, i would rather lose the grand slam, and Wales tour Australia and win that. That would be more impressive, and a sign of progression. But even if we don't; Wales are bloody fantastic for a country the size of Tasmania in Australia, with little resources, and population. Now that's what makes us a truly special team.
Wales has a population of 500,000? Wow that truly is incredible, we managed to get 1/9 person in the country to get into our stadium yesterday![/end sarcasm] (yes I do know Wales has a population of 3 million).
Sorry I'm late guys, just got back from Cardiff a couple of hours ago and watched the game again when I got back. Lucky I did go down as a power cut stopped my sky+ recording the whole game!
Clancy was not giving us any time at the breakdown at all. This was consistent in that it was the same for them too. But at the same time we where doing more in possession than they where and could have done a lot more with that ball. Although we shouldn't just blame the ref for this. We should have just slowly gone through the fazes instead of sending it wide so often, they were always going to be a hard team to break down and we should have just taken our chances. I.e. go for the posts instead of the corner.
But we shouldn't complain too much, a win is a win and Italy played well in defence (with Clancy not helping

) and a 21 point margin is pretty good, I'd take that any day of the week in the six nations. Our try's were opportunistic and it's good to see we can punish a team from unexpected possession and from quick ball if we put our minds to it (hint hint Mike).
I'm not going to go into detail about the yellow card as I believe the Welsh forum hierarchy we hunt me down and send me to the nearest slaughterhouse if I do

btw I'm not agreeing with Healey
Italians did well in defence and in the forwards, only for Burton to kick ball away. Botes at scrum half seemed to make the whole team better so maybe it's not just his fault. There back row played very well, especially at the breakdown, although Mr. Clancy didn't help us there(yes I'm not going to stop

)
Overall I am rather pleased with the performance. Rees got through unscathed and Charteris came with an impact(Gonzalo Canale shall still be feeling it) so if Warburton's back we should be set for a great game against the frenchies. Fair play to Tipuric, he did well, but he's not the same man as Warburton yet and we'll need our captain back for this game. Roberts had a decent game after coming back from injury.
I'm not sure where all the Priestland hates coming from, it wasn't his best game but he was far superior to himself 2 weeks ago. He varied his game a lot and didn't make a huge amount of mistakes. Besides, Hook was far worse last time he played fly-half, Stephen has been a great servant but is past it and I don't trust Gav yet. He's the right man.
Oh bugger, I just remembered I missed the Northampton game. Stupid journey home!
