RaboDirect Pro12 Round 4

Zebo does brilliantly in the set up to this try. Niall Ronan in. 14-0 to Munster after 14 minutes.

Yeah, Keatley's been fantastic in the opening matches. Great hands.

Aghhh, my feed is 10 minutes behind. Less than ideal. :/

Refreshing to see Strings back in the Munster side. Still a better player than Murray truth be told.

Stringer played poorly when he was on , and Murray scores a try within 10 of minutes coming on. Thats all I need to know.

57 minute bonus point. Can't but be happy with that.

Keatley cuts them open, they keep up a good tempo, Earls breaks the line and Zebo just about gets over the lint w/o dropping the ball.Hint of a forward pass fro Earls maybe?

Earlsy has had a splendid evening at 13. Hope he can keep that up. And Lalalala has been good in the opening matches too....oh, he just got MOTM. Deservedly.

I did go to the Blues game, enjoyed it. Cardiff played well for 50 or so minutes, then had a bad spell which let Treviso back in it. I thought Tom James was good on the whole but let some silly decisions into his game, story of most Cardiff players actually. Who did S4C give MOM to?

Navidi got motm. Well deserved as well I thought. His defensive performance was massive. Not sure if S4C gave any stats on tackle count, but I'm sure his were through the roof.

Did anyone see Gavin Evans do anything good? Thought not. Even when the Blues are playing attacking rugby behind a pack on top for much of the game he manages to be totally anonymous. Grrrr, I really, really hate him.

Navidi cut his hair yet?
Hippie ********.

Dull, this Gavin Evans thing is pretty deep? Did he nick your pint?

You guys reckon Navidi should move on when his contract his up so he can be a first choice 7 somewhere? We don't want another Robin Sowden Taylor (not that he was actually any good) situation.

I'd have given it to Navidi too, he was was very good, popped up everywhere

I just realize that he's a very, very ordinary player. He's not terrible (most of the time), but he rarely does anything of note. He's a little like drizzle. Even though poring rain get's you wetter, there is something incredibly dreary and depressing about drizzle. That's Gavin Evans. The praise he receives from the Blues squad also irritates me hugely, because they are completely deluded. Give one of the youngsters like Cory Allen a go for f***s sake!

He seemed like a decent player when he was with the Scarlets, either he's just lost it or that perfectly illustrates the lack of depth we had in the centres around then.

He had potential when he was with the Scarlets. In the same way as Tom James and countless other players (Robin Sowden Taylor), that potential amounted to nothing. The Scarlets realized this and got rid. I can guarantee that he's so far down Gatland's pecking order that he'd probably scour the earth in search of Hal Luscombe before considering Gavin Evans.

Im 100% with you on this one Dull. I'd rather blood Owen Williams or another available young centre than waste time having him there. Cardiff gain no benefit short or long term by having him there.

Navidi will get plenty of playing time at 7 over November and during the 6N. Not to mention Warburtons injury proneness/the fact Cardiff have no other decent 7. I'd like them to keep him for now.

I hardly noticed him, whenever something good happened in the Blues midfeild it wss either Jamie Roberts or Dan Fish or Tom James coming into the middle and making the breaks or big runs off the crash ball.

I know they weren't playing this weekend, but I'm starting to get a feeling the Ulster could be right up there come the business end of the season. They've had a really good start, with wins over both the O's and Munster. Jackson appears to be growing into the team nicely and their starting XV is top notch. A lot will depend, as per usual, on their squad. They're going to need big seasons from Nick Williams, Callum Black, Adam D'arcy and Stevenson. Obviously the Spence thing will affect the, but who knows? it could easily drive them on.

I agree, I think they have strength in depth in almost every position. In terms of their squad I would say it is better than last seasons. Bowe is always going to add class to any team, Wilson will be wanting to prove himself and has great experience of all the English clubs, Payne is back and will be wanting to make up for lost time, Williams and Herring both appear to be fitting in very well.

Ulster have the potential to be great but its going to involve alot of hard work and momentum will be key... one thing is for sure, they have a bright future!

Anybody taking bets on when the first "Patchell for Wayulz" lines start appearing?
Nipper will be glad, everybody will get off his back.

I've cautiously agreeing with Feic - the things I wanted to see in the opening rounds happened all the way up to the Friday of the Munster match. Anscombe seems to have a good vision that he's selling well, the Ginger Maestro is taking steps forwards, and the squad is really putting their hands up. McComb, Allen and McComish are/were really third string players for us, but they both stood up when called upon. There's only really been one disappointment in our squad so far. A lot of second stringers are really putting themselves forwards for HEC selection.

Of course - that was only potential, and who knows how the recent tragedy will affect things. But cautiously... the future is bright.

Certainly could be in contention in 2-3 seasons, has all the right skills although they are quite rough at times. With the right coaching and support theres no reason he wont be in the discussion for 2015 RWC
