No Sean O'Brien even...
Btw though usually don't agree with what Poite does you can't give a penalty try without the team having the forward momentum which makes a try inevitable.
No, he only said that he could.
Five straight penalties. How is that not a penalty try?
I'm not saying this is right but the reason Poite didn't award the PT was because the Ospreys never in reality got the drive on more than once, thus meaning that Poite could not determine that the Ospreys would have probably scored a try.
Well if Leinster are deemed to have taken the scrum down before forward momentum is allowed then of course you can give a penalty try. Forward momentum has nothing to do with it, becuause Leinster taking down the scrum was their way of dealing with the pressure instead of doing what they should and take some backwards steps.
The ref has had no control over this game, and players are getting riled up.
That was a crucial part of the game, and the ref made a complete mess of it. The Ospreys should have gone in at half time at either 1 or 3 point behind, with about 9mins of a man extra when the second half kicked off. Instead they go in 8 points behind, and barely what 6-7mins of a man-up? Really is a joke!
That's exactly why I said if you had read my full post that I would have awarded a PT!They couldn't get a drive on as the scrum was going down before it was set.. How could they drive forward whilst going down?

Debatable. To award a penalty try, the ref must be certain that a try was going to be scored. He can't be if the scrum isn't going forward. I'm not condoning the decision, but I can see where he's coming from.
But I'll say it again, the O's should have gone wide. It should have become apparent after 3 or 4 goes that they weren't going to get the decision of Poite, so take the overlap.
