Queensland Reds v British & Irish Lions

It's unfortunate because he missed the 6N and a chance to showcase himself but Casey has been playing like a demon since coming back and is captaining the Ireland tour.

Kinghorn has just flown out from Paris too and will probably be involved on Saturday (although you'd hope off the bench after that final). Don't think proximity is a major factor at this stage.

Operator seems to be the 'in' word to describe players. Classy operator, decent operator, quality operator.

I don't mind it. Certainly beats when people say amazing instead of ok when acknowledging a simple response.

It's been around a while, its a good way to describe someone like White, he does what he does well. Doesn't have William's flair, or JGPs ruthlessness. I'd put him on par with Mitchell, infact if I had to make the call I would have leaned on White because of his relationship with Russell, but very little between them.

If a test team ends up Mitchell, White, it certainly would lack a touch, but neither would be a problem at all., especially if Mitchell keeps doing what he's doing, he hasn't skipped a beat yet.

I've no doubts about White who is comfortable at this level and loves big games. I can easily see him grabbing a spot on the bench for the tests with Farrell already having spoken about the importance of combinations.

If JGP isn't 100% I could even see White being an integral part of the test series. No concerns for me.

I think Lions have bigger problems.

As is doing the rounds in the various pod casts if you’re calling someone up (Geography 6 aside) it should be someone who could start a test. Thankfully its not JvP. Getting someone over from Argentina isn't ideal either but Alex Corbisero did it on the last Aus tour, started and scored in the test.

I was reminded on my point about getting a settled test line up and then resting before tests should probably go out the window, Liam Williams and Elliot Daly played in the mid week game beofre the first test and both started that.

The one that always bugs me is after a player has a decent performance at club level, and gets called "World Class" as a result
