has anyone heard any more about the addition of 2 more SA teams into the Pro14?
There were rumours of the Griquas and the Pumas joining, although this would really impact on the quality of the Currie Cup.
From the Pro14 they would make a great addition and would create a nice balance to the number of matches.
Personally, I would like to see 4 groups of 4, each nation, playing home and away, to keep the local derbies, and then home or away against the other 12 teams.
This would mean a reduction to 18 matches, but that would be for the better as a greater percentage of games could involve internationals than current and also less overlap with the international window. Furthermore, more rest weeks around EC weeks, so better for this comp as well.
