Former South Africa centre Jaco Pretorius has announced his retirement from rugby.

Its a pity whenever a player has to retire because of injury, unless of course that player was an absolute thug he caused other players to retire because of his thuggish antics.

A solid player who performed the roles the Bulls required him to effectively in 2009 and 2010, never set the world a light and filled a position where I felt the Bulls were lacking a player of the same quality as the rest of their backs. (No Kirchner jokes)

Yeah, probably a limited player at 13 but TBF he had always been a winger and forced by the Bulls to cover at 13 where he did contribute to them winning 3 S14 ***les. A helluva lot better than JP Nel (unless the aim is to behead someone on the field LOL). Best of luck.

Actually he was a 13 when he played for the Lions, he excelled IMO more on the wing and even made his debut for the Boks on wing... but after his injury he never got that blistering pace he once had...

he was a good player and very rarely did something stupid... great ambassador of the game...

but Stormer, you know what this means... Johan Sadie just walked into a starting place for the Bulls at 13...
