Premiership Rugby 23/24 - Rd 6

Ultimately I think the only way to expand the sport in England is to tap into new areas, rules probably need heavily simplifying in areas, I know of lots of casuals who are a bit turned off by some perceived inconsistencies in application of the Laws and just generally complexity of them, although some pundits do a considerably better job explaining decisions than others, flatman is pretty good in certain area's.

To be honest we will probably stay up but its not great for the league is it...

Maybe Codling will actually get us sorted in the meantime...we shall see...but in general we look soft...no for want of a better term "nasty bas***ds" or real tough nuts like Will Welch or Mark Wilson. Some young kids who could make it but still young.

Was hoping to see Obano & Stuart against Genge and Sinkler, but not to be. Was also hoping to see Redpath & MOjo, with Lawrence on the bench, given his broken nose - please to see Barb.s get a bench-break after last weekend though - just a bit of player welfare.
So first 50, we'll still see Stuart v Genge, and the last 30, we'll have TdT vs Sinckler - I'm good with that, in the tight exchanges, at least.

Away(ish) from the front rows - Thacker at 7, against Underhill :)

Few changes, but not a complete switch up
England u20 loosehead covering tighthead from the bench is a bit of a worry

Harper vs. Brantingham will be interesting. I have high hopes for both.

That is a very callow Falcons lineup though. How many Prem appearances in total for that back division? Can't be more than 15-20 combined!

It is but you know what...we've been calling for the talented kids to get some games so good on the coaches.

Some decent pros around them...let's see how they go. (And I don't think it's reckless. )

And more importantly if they go OK but get a bit of a tanking then don't drop them...give them plenty of games. Connon at 10 is just not good enough and Thomas looks good...so let's see what he can do. Can he control a game and get that backline moving.

As you Brantingham is a big hope..both for us and England.

And let's see if Big John Kelly can be the nasty lump we need in the pack.

There's a handful of gems in this lineup that can really make the top grade if developed right....

Really looking forward to this, currently making the 4 hour train journey, never seen FR at a game, been told the way he communicates and organises etc is pretty off the charts but cameras don't do a very good job of showing it on TV.

TBF, Healey did a good bit of analysis on some of that last week - mostly about moving forward as the ball emerges from the ruck, so that he's already closing the gap on the defence before the SH throws the pass.

We really don't seem to have a settled side yet, probably due to injuries but like the look of the team, the only thing missing is Lawes.

James Dun out for Bristol (illness)
Batley takes his place at BSF, with Caulfield taking HIS place at lock.
Heenan comes onto the bench.

Really basic error by Cokanasiga, he was never even close to being onside. His early stupidity led to Bath being under pressure and now a try. He really doesn't have any sort of rugby intelligence whatsoever.

And now Cokanasiga butchered an overlap and likely try by chucking the ball behind Muir... Lawrence on the other hand is looking damn good.

Well 28 mins and Sale take the lead....we're getting better lol

That needed to go further left.

POC with 2 stupid errors in quick succession
