Ah makes sense ow why you were talking about Brown. ..I don't know why we signed him. We play Obatoyinbo who has been atrocious and Brown gets no games.
Brown was outstanding for Coventry but when he signed for Newcastle I thought well done hope you do well but to see him not even start is a bit ****

I went down to Caldy for this game Louis Brown was due to start in this game but had to withdraw due to injury.

Bedford > Ampthill and a clean sweep for the Premiership sides.

We beat Caldy 40 - 7
Their try was a PT from a collapsed maul,
Academy winger Obi Ene got a 19min hattrick

Can any Newcastle fans out there confirm if that was a strong Newcastle team that played Doncaster or a second string?

I would say out of the starting 15 I would say around 10 could be classed as first team squad players with the other 5 on the fringes. Our replacements were academy players, and players who haven't featured at all, all season.
We have rested some of our big hitters, the likes of Sammy Arnould, Tom Gordon for these cup games, but I can imagine they will be back for the Sale game in a fortnight.

What's happened to Louis Brown?

Louis Brown was due to play in the game at Caldy a week ago, but he pulled up during the warm up and was replaced by Adam Radwan. He must be carrying an injury.

Another round with the only televised game being all prem

Sale Sharks: 15 Will Addison, 14 Obi Ene, 13 Luke James, 12 Sam Bedlow, 11 Alex Wills, 10 Tom Curtis (captain), 9 Raffi Quirke; 1 Bevan Rodd, 2 Tadgh McElroy, 3 Nick Schonert, 4 Ernst van Rhyn, 5 Ben Bamber, 6 JL du Preez, 7 Sam Dugdale, 8 Dan du Preez.

Replacements: 16 Harry Thompson, 17 Tumy Onasanya, 18 James Harper, 19 Rouban Birch, 20 Tom Burrow, 21 Tristan Woodman, 22 Nye Thomas, 23 Joe Bedlow.

Lots of injury returnees in there, which is good to see - still a good smattering of academy players but definitely feels like we're using it to try and get some form before the prem starts again
