Premiership Rugby 21/22 - Rd 9

Kind of inevitable but I'm a bit disappointed by that. I can't imagine Tom Willis is overly delighted either.

Loads to like about Barbeary but there are lots of subtleties that he'll need to learn for the international game too.

Either way I just hope he stays fit and makes a success of it.

TBH Tom has what it takes to be a International 6 also certainly club 6 and then push for the bench option at International level.

Glad he's sticking in the backrow,
Will be interesting to see what happens with him vs T.Willis at Wasps
Willis playing fantastically well but Barbeary has that next level strength/explosiveness, throw in the nous that experience gets you and be could he something very very special

Barbeary says he's a back rower so knowing Jones tendency to always play players in position, we can expect to see him at 2 for England.

From COML
Saw one spectator in a headdress behind the stands who was being requested politely by the stewards to deposit his disrespectful attire in safe keeping until after the game. Don't know whether he did or not . Hopefully it will go the same way as the Saracens fez did.

Nice to see Luke Pearce marching teams back for giving him ****. Probably my favourite ref atm

Care must be the worst player to play against in the league,
All the years of experience to perfect being the chippiest jammiest 9 around, while also being incredibly talented

Twice Hassell-Collins doesn't pass, twice Quins turn over.

Nothing about the scrum or what happened after should have resulted in an LI penalty there...

Wonder if the TMO checked the knock on in the tackle. Looked like a bit of a flailing arm, but didn't see a replay. Still Quins squandered lots of opportunities so probably a fair result.

OK I see him being England's number 8 now, no question he's a Eddie style number 8
6. Lawes
7. Curry
8. Barbeary

RWC back row.
Well if it means Curry is not at 8, I'm open to it …
