PREM 25/26 - Round 9

Allegedly not even the best 10 at the club. Probably not even top 20 In the East Midlands. Just behind Jimmy O'connor at Corby Rufc ranked 22nd
As a player from 70s at Corby RFU we had a shed load of better 10s including me at 1977 failed eng under 17s schools as comp boy then. 10/9 should have been French i guess.
RIP Corby Rfu sadly gone a good few years ago.

I played a couple of seasons there early 2000's, small world . Before switching to Rushden. Even then it was pretty much a one team club. Still was gutted when I heard it went under.

My takeaways from Friday and Saturday (with one more game to go for this round):

Good to see Newcastle get their first win!

Bristol play some fantastic rugby but also have a very good front 5. They could be potential spoilers for either Bath or Saints who knows. Genge and Van Rensburg are such good players.

Bath may have the most talented team in the Prem and as much as I am an up your jumper type advocate, they need to try and open it up a bit more. They literally had no solutions for Exeter fighting back after the first 20 mins which was basically just brute force from Bath. They have a star studded back line and could easily play a bit more rugby. It is Borthwick on steroids. Credit to Chiefs for fighting back, I do question if they have enough individual players that can go all the way this season.

Saints for me look like the one of the best sides in Europe right now. I don't think we have had a team like this in England for quite some time. The best attacking system by far, great defensively and underrated up front and actually have quite a physical and large pack. They may end up coming up short against someone like Bordeaux, who knows though? I would love to see them win the double this season and I'm not a Saints fan down here in Plymouth.

Harlequins - no comment on this situation.

Had a death in the family so had to go back to Australia - not sure if he's back in country yet? Posted some stuff on social media but might be from before he left (it was a compilation video)
Got injured when he came back apparently sucky timing all around, Parling was saying he;s about 3 weeks out so only something minor I guess

TLDR - We suck, but that's life
Weird statement to put out,
Like yeah losing sucks and they've had some honking performances but a press release from the CEO about it?
Unless there's coaching changes to announce or something then what's the point

Yeah I don't get it either tbh, those statements are like we are conducting a review or someone is being sacked

If I was a fan I would be so ******

I just do not understand why teams aren't putting a jumper up at every lineout,
Every throw from Blamire has been off centre but nothing called because Saracens don't even have a jumper let alone a lifting pod
Saw it with Bristol vs us too, we had some sketchy AF throws but no jumper and it doesn't matter

Edit: Theo Dan on, basically throws towards Freddie Steward at 15, no jumper so no not straight

Leicester 36-28 Saracens

NO Scorigami

This is the 3rd instance of this score

First Game: 30/4/00 Newcastle 36-28 Gloucester
Last Game: 15/9/02 Northampton 36-28 Bristol
