Everyone's favourite comp is on the horizon and this year promises to be even better than last:
  • Only four games per round
  • No championship sides, they've withdrawn from the comp due to not being made equal partners and not being part of the TV deal
  • Clubs are even more depleted due to it being a Lions year (will players be held back so they're not injured for the Prem proper?)

Fixtures now out

Without the Champ clubs - there's less than 0 point for this.

It could have been great*, if PRL had learned that having a bigger pie can be a good thing

*And with a 10-team league, they needed a worthwhile PRC, it just needed some decent organisation

Sale vs Bristol whenever that is (no games televised so do they even exist?)

Gloucester 14 - 15 Chiefs at half time, 3 tries and 3 missed conversions, we really need an upgrade at 10.

It was cold, raining but worth it. Not the best Quins side you'll ever see put out, but we put in a good team performance with some good individual performances aswell.

Mafi was impressive...a bulldozer. And Lockwood kept that up when he replaced him.

Narhan Greenwood could be our next star winger in the making. He's been coming through over the last few seasons, and I was concerned about his weight this season but seeing him tonight, they've clearly had him strength training and he's going to scare some teams this season. He's electric.

Max Clark really was aggressive alongside Arnold.

But my pleasant surprise was young Academy lad Oscar Usher at lock. Hes a big unit at 6'6 and just shy of 19st already but he backed it up with a physical and quality performance. I'll be watching his development.

It's the PRC - it's supposed to be developmental.
Just because Exeter don't use it that way, doesn't mean that it's weird if everyone else does
Ok fair point, i was more saying as its a higher value game overall they'd rather win that than the friendly. Given switching the teams still means same experience for players overall.

In all honesty I'm still for PRC having selection rules to stop teams putting out full strength. But given the rules we need to get gametime together, we have been poor and even our best need development.

In terms of development i hope Ben Coen and Nick Lilley get some good gametime.
