Who are these American clubs that they'd play?
Most our mlr teams wouldn't be competition for u23 teams.

No. Reduces the amount of home games from 16-17ish to what, 11 or 12?
That's a big drop in revenue for the clubs.
Maybe it could work with 18+, two conferences of 9?
Very good idea, how about also losing Bath, Bristol and Exeter from south west, Saracens from London and Sale, Newcastle and Doncaster from North.Ditch Wasps, Worcester and Saints Keep Tigers as the sole midlands team = Less fixtures and everyone is happy.

Then have a four team competition.
That was Sir Ian's idea, NFL teams would scout the rest of world for teams to play in this event.NY Giants
NY Jets
New England Patriots
Fuk the Bills though.
Good idea, I have always been an advocate of a British and Irish League of 28 teams, playing an NFL style season of 16 regular season games and play offs, plus a smaller European tournament down from 9 dates to 8 dates with max of 7 matches. And join the Pro 14 to create one super league!!!!
We shall call it super rugby.
