Quick look at the football world cup draw.
France v Norway and England v Croatia look like the best pool stage games. No more interesting comparatively than Oz v NZ or Ireland v Scotland imo.
Soccer has the advantage of being a "moments" sport where underdogs can play negative and get lucky but it's not much deeper than rugby at the top level.
Twice as many winners in more than twice as many tournaments and two new winners in 50 years.
Maybe we moan a bit too much!
