Martyn Williams, Castrogiovanni, Dusautoir and Heymans were better and any one of these deserve their spot there over him.

Martyn Williams should be on there. Castrogiovanni has been (along with Parisse) one of the stand out players of the Italian squad.
But out of this lot, I'd go with Shane, probably because he's been my favourite player since I was about 6 or 7, with either Ryan Jones or Parisse in close second.
Not 100% sure why Mike Phillips is there, yeah he's had a good tournament, but a sin-bin, and some bad passes work against him. Still a class player though, wish he didn't move to the Ospreys...
