Official Super League 2006 Thread

Moran can show flair at times, eg when he set up the disallowed try on Saturday, however, at the moment his negatives are greatly outwaying the positives.

Ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages. I present to you, The Verminator, Vinnie Anderson!

The Verminator

Goodnight Danny. Sleep well. Supposedly, Tickle was calling Vinnie "a **** scared of tackling" all game long. Bad move. In fact, suicidal.

"Get up you ****, get up. I'm Vinnie Anderson."

Enjoy! Just like I'm enjoying the vermin wallowing.

Kicking Wigan arse twice this season , now that`s smth that makes StHelen a very proud person hehe!

Wow, Wigan will relegate for sure!

I`ve seen you also lost a game St Helen! :p Anyway, if i`m not mistaken you won last regular season only to get defeated in the play offs for the final ! So, don`t get your hopes getting over your judgment hehehe!

I'm not getting carried away, about either us winning the league or the vermin going down.

A sure sign of desperate times at Wigan.

And yesterday's performance has reassured me - I think more than ever that they'll go down.

Bad weekend for Wigan despite winning, as Cas and Wakefield also won, so they didn't actually close up on anyone except Catalans, and they don't count!!

Big set of winnable matches for them coming up though against Wire, then Quins, then Wakefield.

They are currently 6 points (3 wins) behind, but with a very poor points diff (although Cas are worse) ... I would say Wigan need to find at least 5, if not 6 wins out of these last 11 to survive ... and to be honest, I don't see 6 on there they can win at the moment.

They only clawed back some of the damage caused by Sunday's other result. Warrington will do them over on Friday, and then they have two massive games. If they lose to Quins or Wakefield it's over, very definitely finished, but I think there's too much to do.

They HAVE to beat Warrington, and I just don't think they will.

Oh well - shows what I know - Wigan suddenly look like they will survive relegation easily!

Good atmosphere at the Stoop Saturday for the first time this season - and a big win too for Quins.

But only 3 points separating the bottom 6 teams though still means it's anyone guess who goes down (if anyone!)

Wigan have two tough games in a row - they'll certainly lose at Leeds, and I think Salford will do them over on Friday...

I think it's still a very strong possibility.

Looking at the remaining fixtures I think Wakefield are odds on for the drop now.

Their next 3 games are critical - Huddersfield and Cas away, and Bradford at home - can't see them picking up any points there (although, ahem, I have been wrong before!).

Even after that they face Leeds, Saints and Bradford again, with only games against Catalans and Cas looking like possible points for them.

Sorry Wakefield, but I think Wigan, Castleford and Quins will all just pip you by 1 or 2 points.
