Technically, while there's still a labour government, yes it is.

However the NHS was setup by the Torys. (I think)

Didn't the Labour party abandoned the working class for the sake of the middle class vote a long time ago? So many things about your current shower in government contradict socialist principles, the War in Iraq and Afghanistan probably the biggest one. Whenever I hear anything about the Labour party hey are distinctly called "New Labour" the are no more socialist than Bertie Ahern. (Irish members might get that)

I agree Labour ceased to be socialist more than a decade ago.

Socialists are a f***ing bane on society, adamant about the benefits of a welfare state but completely unwilling to contribute themselves. Walk into any job centre and you'll clearly see those who plan on voting for the left-wing partys compared to those who don't; the great unwashed in their masses, content with living on the bottom rung of society so long as they don't need to lift a finger nor make the effort to find themselves work or even be polite to their fellow man. The nature of handouts themselves breeds this selfish nature amongst those who are nothing but lazy - Welcome one and all to the Welfare State.

Then the saddest part will be for those unfortunate enough to being the untenable position of looking for work which, thanks in a large part to the socialist governments causing all business at best to make redundancies or at worst to close completely, doesn't exist or pays so little that the average man cannot afford such basics as 3 square meals a day and his travel expenses to the distant job he will be forced to take. Nobody can afford to relocate these days.

History has shown that Socialists always promise the earth but fail to deliver. Then, when they've sold the family gold, racked up the debts and the populous finally has had enough of them, they leave a poison chalice for the following government to sort out. The follow on Government eventually puts the country back on track (a process which can take up to 20 years), then the <strike>idiots brigade</strike> population vote the socialist back in after being promised the earth once again and the whole process repeats itself. I have nothing to add other than that, the majority of people on this world are idiots, who on the suface seem logical and capable of sound reasoning, but who clearly are just the product of an absence of natural selection. The reason pop music is so "popular" is evidence of this.
