[November Tests 2016 EOYT] England vs. South Africa (12/11/2016)

So starting 15 for England

1. Cole 2. Hartley 3. Marler ?
4. Launch 5. Lawes / ?
6. Robshaw 7. Harrison 8. Vunipola
9. Care
10. Ford
11. May
12. Faz
13. JJ
14. Roko
15. Brown

I assume backs cover will be Slade, Youngs, Goode?

I also wonder whether Mako would get a start given current form or whether EJ would rather have him as an impact sub?

Can't see Teo or any other new boy getting a look in for this one.

I've seen England lose too many times to SA to feel confident, our game always drops against them and it seems their very physical style of play is something our players don't like, they shied away from it rather than returning it with interest to SA. If Jones can get them fired up like Ireland did and England go out with the intent of smashing SA left, right and centre, I think we can win.

I'm hoping the team will be
1) Vunipola
2) Hartley
3) Cole
4) Launchbury
5) Lawes
6) Robshaw
7) Harrison
8) Vunipola
9) Youngs
10) Ford
11) May (likely Yarde)
12) Faz
13) JJ
14) Roko
15) Brown

16) George
17) Genge (Likely Marler)
18) Sink
19) Attwood
20) Hughes
21) Care
22) Slade
23) Daly

Nah man you're not enemy number one when when the colonials and savages dare to venture into our hemisphere. Bully for England I say. Give them a right old rogering. I'm turning white when the game is on.
You can **** right back off when the six nations comes around though. Shower of arrogant pricks.

That's as much as we could hope for, fair enough. British Isles against the world!

I look forward to hating you come February too x

Ah it's okay mate, I still like you, you're not too bad.

Your rugby team is a bunch of assholes though and I hope you lose.

;)

Feeling the love an all sides here! Ditto, hate you all except Francois!

So all the Saffers on here are trying to paint themselves as the underdogs, I assume to make a possible loss easier to wave off, but make no mistake, England are by no means favourites.

Sorry, but ROFLCOPTER. South Africa are available at 4/1 fairly widely. IMO the market has overreacted to the Barbarians result and is underestimating the impact of England's injuries. That being the case, I think South Africa are great value and will be having a couple of bets accordingly. However, they're still far from favourites.

SA still in a period of massive transition following RWC and possibly further transition in style and personnel following their Indaba - from the outside they seem no closer to where they want to be and are still at square one. England have loads of strength in depth, so injuries don't impact on them (or ABs) the same as anyone else. I think England will ease away slowly with the scoreboard ticking over and win by 18-20.

Hopefully Lambie can find the Basic Mental Toughness to make some routine penalties and conversions. :p

I just can't see SA pulling this one off.
I suspect they will go in playing to whatever plan but will get rattled at some point then revert to kind.

England by 15.

I'm proper buzzing about this game. Not only the start of the autumn internationals but it's the Big One first up. World Cup 03 and Twickenham 02 here we come!

Any Saffa's want to take on a stupid bet? Winner chooses the loser's avatar for a month, that kind of thing?!

I bet you win by 7! The reason for the tight margin is that I think we will still boss the set pieces.

The pressure is definitely on England.

How is Te'o getting on actually? With the emergence of Carbery and Henshaw's arrival he turned out to not be a huge loss for Leinster.

Rave press reviews. At some point he will get caps - particularly as Manu has basically died - problem is forcing his way into a functioning line up.

I will receive criticism for this and am not exactly fond of the idea but I can see Ford-Farrell-Te'o being tried.

I'm not wholly opposed to the idea as it would give us a different playing style to having JJ at 13. JJ hasn't been as magic as before but he has been pretty solid, a little ****le to let him know there is competition may bring back his spark. All that would seem harsh on Daly though who hasn't been given a chance yet.

If we win, you have to change your name to "Every Time Sker"

If Lambie comes back to basics and we use real centres like Rohan and venter we can win this by 3 ill say .... but i suspect DDA will be back and that changes it to a loss of 10 ....

As hopeful as I am, I can't see Rohan and Venter getting their debuts together against England. It's going to be one of them.

But let's look at something else. We have Faf & Elton also in the group. And if we add Rohan, then we have the 9, 10, 12 combo of the Lions, along with JP Ferreira in the coaching box... So the chance is there that Rohan might start ahead of Francois, with DDA moving to 13...

I understand the logic with Elton, but damn I have no more faith in that guy. He has had so many opportunities and has not impressed at all. Also my opinion is, if we want to win we have to keep DDA as far away from the field as possible... Unfortunately I know for some reason AC likes him way too much.
