NH Rugby Transfers

Thats only the Western Mail saying that. None of the clubs have said they have been incontact with Phillips and to be honest the Western Mail is hardly a reliable source!

As an Ospreys fan that's great news about Mike Phillips choosing us over Leicester and Harlequins.

9.Mike Phillips
10.James Hook
11.Shane Williams
12.Gavin Henson
13.Sonny Parker
14.Nikki Walker
15.Lee Byrne

Sounds like a good strong back line. I'm looking forward.

But it's a shame to hear about some of the guys due to leave the Dragons.
Gareth Cooper is leaving them to go to Gloucester - if he is their first choice scrum half and if he stays uninured England will be able to see week in week out how dangerous a player he can be.
And it looks like Ian Gough could be moving to Scarlet if he doens't agree to the ultimatum propsed by the Dragons.
[/b]

Tis a pity that Cooper is likely to go! Again it has worked for Mefin Davies!

Actually the rumours are that Ian Gough has also already signed for the Ospreys!
[/b]

There are no such rumours!

Phillips to Ospreys

The Gough 'rumours'

SmokeyMonkey, are you sure about the whole Nathan Brew shananigans?

I mean, you Dragons had him on a year loan from us.
How has he gone to Stradey.
He's got to come back to Liberty, surely.
What i mean to say is, with the way he's been playing this season for the dragons he prven himself as a huge talent and someone very dangerous that the Ospreys would be lucky to have in the backline.
If we don't keep him then i demand the Dragons keep him.
Let him find his feet and settle somewhere, please!
We're messing wtih a good player.
And he was very effective at the dragons.

And why are we bringing in Gough?
I mean, we've only got Cockbain, Ian Evans and Wyn Jones as cracking 2nd rowers as it is!

Gotcha!

Nathan...not Aled.

Good, i'm glad to hear that he's staying wiht you.
Dragon's are a caracking side with more heart than any of the other welsh sides - and i don't mean that to sound patronising.

from The Guardian online, today:

Sale's Welsh international centre Mark Taylor is set to move to the Ospreys in the summer while the Welsh region's New Zealand scrum-half Justin Marshall, who joined last June after a season with Leeds, has been linked with a move to Stade Français

They (SF) need a sh because Augustin Pichot is going to move away: he signed with the 2nd team from Paris, Racing-Metro (ProD2)

Glasgow prop Euan Murray and winger Rory Lamont are rumoured by be set to sign for Northampton and Sale respectively.

Two French players are joining GP teams, the veteran back row player Christian Lait who has been contracted by Northampton for the end of this season and Julien Laharrague who used to be the France full back until last November trashing. He will play for the Sale Sharks.

Some more rumours of Gavin Henson going to Sale! Hopefully it's just that, rumours.

I believe those are just rumours.
Henson's contract is yet to expire for Ospreys.
I believe he's there until at least 2008.

Peter Richards moves from Gloucester to Irish next season whilst Dan Browne moves from Northampton Saints to Bath.

"Rumour has it that Bath Rugby have signed Northampton Saints No.8 Daniel Browne starting next season. The term number 8 used very loosely there. Not a favourite player of mine but a fresh start may do him some good and release the potential we claim he had when we signed him.

Best of luck to dan

We aint half cruel to bath aint we :D "

Who cares, at least without him on the pitch we might get promoted back up. The amount of games that *** has cost us this season with duff passes and missed tackles is beyond counting.

That's all very well as long as we sign an 8 of proven quality to aid with the development of Easter and Hopley, who both look like they could become very useful players.

Easter may well be ready for first choice next season as a Premiership player, he's already much better then anything ND1 has to offer.

gloucester has singed gareth cooper

good signing, i really really rate cooper, he has bags of potential, and if he satys injury free, playiong for an attaking minded side like gloucester then who knows!!

only a few years ago he was wales number 9

Yeah, this has already been discussed.
Unfortuantely at Gloucester he's gonna be playing 2nd fiddle to Mr.Richards.

I think this will harm his Welsh chances of battling for the no.9 shirt.
For shame on him for leaving a struggling Dragons i say.
