New Zealand v Ireland - Test 3 - 16 July 2022

Omg Beauden Barrett running the ball within the first 45 minutes of the game, MUM GET THE CAMERA.

You need to be more than 21 points up before you start feeling cocky against NZ (or France). At least until the last 10 minutes.

Both of those teams are capable of putting 15 minutes of performance in where there's basically nothing you can do about it; and are capable of doing that regardless of how the other 65 minutes work out.

Should be a red, English refs have called a few of these as yellow as they're soaking up the impact though.

Ooph yellow I will take that. Could/should easily be red

Remember when kicking long into NZ territory was terrifying, with Israel Dagg catching and running from the deep? Man time flies.

Disappointing card.

That's the guidance isn't it?

Unlike a few weeks ago when it was an aggressive tackle that slipped off, and therefore classed as "passive".

Not that I'd have any problem with that still being a red - I've not seen any actual evidence that head contact in a soak tackle is less dangerous than head contact in an aggressive tackle.

So it's a yellow because it's an absorbing tackle? I've not heard that term in this context when discussing a head collision yet... think we're very lucky...

Lol rugby Is an absolute farce. How can Angus get a red one week and then that's yellow?
