Interesting to see him selected given he wasn't even in the training squad. I'm actually feeling a bit more confident now with Messem in the squad, as he's a exceptional sevens player - hopefully he has enough time to get back into 'sevens mode' given I don't think he's played sevens for NZ for quite a few years.
Well he was origionaly selected but was pulled for all black duty, now he's been called in again because Thompson is injured.
Looks like he's lost some bulk since the maori series, It's a shame I liked the way he was playing 15's with that extra size but he obviously altered his training with the games coming. Still he's been blowing holes and making some impressive runs in ITM cup, lots of speed.
