What a fight. I have mixed feeling. Merab is as likeable as they come, but i believe Yan has been one of the most unlucky fighters ever. With the scorecards i mean. After that knee to the head against Sterling everything went wrong for him. A bit glad he's back in the conversation.

I like Petr very much and agree he was unlucky. So glad for him now

Yeah I really like Merab, I didn't think he'd ever lose a 5 rounder tbh - thought it would be a combination of father time/a finish that'd end his reign


Feel for Pantoja losing his belt like that - I'm a big fan of Van but I doubt he really wanted to win like that either (though realistically probably doesn't care that much now he's got a belt on his mantle)
I thought it was an elbow dislocation/arm break at first but apparently is "just" a shoulder dislocation, so should hopefully see him back next year

Aspinalls eyes are still ******. Well, not totally but not fine obviously. The more I look at it the more I think Gane knew what he was doing or was at the very least so careless it gets to the point where you’re like you know what you’re doing there. Would be a real shame if Tom missed out on most of 2026.

You can have great cardio and get beat up as well which is why he’d make a great rugby player. Though he’s usually beating guys up but not this time obviously.
