Mexican anti emo riots

the point being, to all the non-emos, like goths, punks etc - to the outside world, even though goths and punks are completely diffrent, as they hate all things emo - they still hate emo traits, as much as they hate to admit it.

Here's a video of the facts. It's from a major mexican broadcasting company (Televisión Azteca).

It's in spanish, so I'll give you a little summary.

Emos were attacked in Queretaro City (a small city located about 100 Km from Mexico City), and this made other people to start an attack against emos all over the country. About a week after the Queretaro attack, people began to send emails, post on forums, etc, organizing an emo lynching in one of the main streets in Mexico City, Avenida Insurgentes. Punks, goths, metalheads and other groups gathered there, and surprisingly emos did too. The police had to protect the emo-kids, but ironically, they were the ones who started the attacks by throwing bottles at their "aggressors", hitting policemen and civilians. Authorities calmed them down, but two hours later, women started to fight. Again. After five hours of protesting, threatening each other, and eventually fighting, their attention was stolen by a Hare Krishna group that came out of the subway station singing.

This country is crazy :(
