I learnt a thing yesterday - apparently, introducing Ali as "my first wife" isn't as funny as I thought it would be (TBH, as I still think it is).

Gone to my hometown on the other side of Australia. Got here Friday which was probably too early with Christmas on a Thursday so driving distance visitors won't be getting here until today. Far fewer people on the beach last night (23rd) than I would've expected.

This will my 3rd year in a row not seeing my family until a few days later, and then not all of them.
I preferred the way it was before, even as an introverted home-bod.

Yesterday was my favourite day of this year's Christmas. First day off work, and our tradition is to give a book at breakfast, then music, but no telly from then on.
Today is the big meal, tomorrow is hasdle-free.

Was going to do the Christmas ham in my ninja pressure cooker but the bloody things broken down (error code is the equivalent of the old Xbox 360 red ring of death, apparently) so it's gone in the oven and the beers are open to kill time until I can gorge until the new year

Just done all my veg prep and made me cooking timings list for tomorrow so I can relax. Would open a bottle of red but I’m horribly hungover so maybe I’ll stick with some pop tonight instead.
