Magners League Prediction Competition: Signup & Discussion

Well chaps, it's that time of year again and with no sign of An Tarbh and the season only a few days away I thought I'd take it upon myself to organise the annual prediction contest. Scoring will work in the usual way:

1 point for correct result. (Called a draw on the league table)

10 points for the correct score. (Called a win on the league table)

4 Points for the correct home/away score or within 3 points.

3 Points for guessing the home/away score within 4-6 points.

2 Points for guessing the home/away score within 7-10 points.


Prizes will be decided at a later date but ,with any luck, there'll be roundly prizes as well as rewards for 1st down to 5th at the end.

Well this year promises to be unpredicatble enough anyway what with the Italian team entering and the World Cup looming so I wouldn't be worried if I were you.

Just a few things guys:

All predictions for the first round must be submitted to the thread before the start of the Glasgow - Leinster game tonight. Any predictions posted in the thread after this point will be ignored. Late predicitons can be sent via pm to me. Any games either finished or already underway will be discounted for obvious reasons.

Can you all set your accounts in such a way that you can recieve private messages? I intended to send this around through pm but a good few of you don't have the facility set up so it was easier to do it here.

Finally, for anyone who hasn't already registered it would be best to do so now so as to not be at a disadvantage as the league develops.
