Did you vote?

If not, why not?

If so, who did you vote for and why?

I voted for Labour, because:

1) I'm from St Helens and therefore I will never vote for the Tories, ever.
2) The Lib Dems are a joke and aren't even worth a protest vote.
3) There seriously, seriously is nothing better on the menu.

Dark times for politics, local and national.

Labour?

Excuse me for a second ...

AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!

Thank you.

Well we just had the European elections in Wales, and yes I voted. I voted for Plaid Cymru as I always do. It's very important to me that Plaid get some representatives in both Europe and the House of Commons to put forward the things that's important here in Wales.

Wales often get's bundled in with England on many critical decisions and policies, people don't realise that some things cannot work as effectively in Wales as they do in the rest of Britain etc. One example of this was a proposal to reduce the number of hospitals, increasing the catchment areas of each separate hospital. While this may be a sensible thing to reduce costs in England where roads are good and Motorways join each major town/city, in Wales we don't have that luxury and this plan would have cost lives!

Some might say that my vote doesn't make much difference when it comes to the general election as Plaid Cymru could never be elected as a party, but making sure that my local mp etc. remains Plaid makes a big difference.

Edit: I bloody hope too many people don't vote BNP etc. Would be a travesty if their support increases, but it looks likely unfortunately.

That is shocking ...

Plaid are a poor man's BNP and thats a fact. Plaid have not been the same since Ron Davies left. No disrespect to Dafydd Iwan but unfortunately he is not the right man for Plaid and I know a a few people who feel the same about him and think that Plaid have gone backwards not forwards!

I voted tory because:

1. Voting Labour is supporting UNELECTED communism and they're the ******** who've put this country into the shithouse predicament we are
2. Votin UKIP is a wasted vote
3. Everybody agrees that the Lib Dems are a joke, not even worty of a protest vote

Were the UKIP just not folded away under a fold somewhere?

If not, why not?

Was working all day, but should have made the effort!

If so, who did you vote for and why?

Would have voted for the ... urm im not going to say who because it may offend some people and I dont think people would understand I was only going to vote for them as a joke because neither Labour, Conservatives or Liberal are much use to us. UKIP are a poor man's BNP and Plaid are absolute filth.

I tell you what people better watch out for the BNP because they will have gained a few seats in the Euro elections which shows how poor the other parties are.

Yep and they want us to vote all over again!

As i see it, Labour are just appalling, the Tories have had their time as well, and the Lib Dems are a joke. So basically, if i vote it'd be for the Tories.. just to get the majority down for Labour. BNP and those parties are a waste of time, it's just pure racism jazzed up to make it look less sickening.

Any government that comes in will just decline our nation more and more, with new heights in sleaze. Tories will not get in, they have put many people off them for life and Labour just take the complete **** out of this country.

It's a very sad state of affairs.. when you are resigned to having no improved choice whatsoever.

True. But it is a democracy so anyone can get off their arse and have a go.

My demands:
1. Small government.
2. Low tax.
3. Prudent borrowing.
4. Free trade and movement.
5. Serious punishment for murderers and fraudsters.

Oh, and people who can't pay their mortgages should rent instead of sucking at the taxpayer's ***.

No party in Europe comes within a Frans Steyn drop kick of that agenda.

The BNP look set to get Nick Griffin into Europe judging by the results in Burnley today.

Ah this is interesting.

Nick Griffin men and women will go into Euro, Nick unfortunately will be sitting smug in his house in Welshpool driving around in his ford escort with tinted windows proud as punch!

I personally think he'll go.It's a chance to cause havoc and publicity for himself.

Whilst I despise the EU and all it stands for, I despise Nick Griffin and the BNP more.

No but I made her cry one night

I didn't vote this time, due to still being registered at my parents address... But if a General Election is called (as it should now be called) I will make the effort to vote...

Best news of the day is Labour losing EVERY seat in Dorset...

Quite amazing really, been dealing with election stuff all week, the amount of money which gets chucked at it from central government...

A friend of mine stood for the BNP Party this year, and to be honest some of there policies are rather appealing but some of them are mad... I would not say who I would vote for if I had voted as it is my decision and my right to keep that decision secret.

Still a year to wait for me but atm looking at it...

I wouldn't vote Tories if you paid me £100. None of my family ever have or will. As an entity I hate them with a burning passion.

Labour aren't much better and you could probably interchange them with the Tories now quite easily. Same corruption. Same rubbish.

Lib Dems are just a joke.

BNP - they sadden me. They do actually have some good socialist policies but they also drag out this immigration nonsense that sounds like a policy that an 8 year old would come up with. It will never ever work in the real world and if it did I'd be very afraid...Anyone who votes them isn't racist, just stupid.

I'd probably vote SNP at the moment and Plaid if I was back in Wales. I don't approve of staying in the EU tbh and I'm quite sceptical of it in general but compared to life under Labour and the Tories, things have changed dramatically. Even as a young fella I can see that although my parents have experienced it as well. They definitely have let us down in some areas though, education being one of them. I don't trust Salmond either.

Well, the answer is staring us all in the face. The TRF party. I suggest Teh Mite for party leader. Charlie for minister of cycling, and O'Rothlain for minister of awesome.
